in regards to Tarnished Nightmare or Macabre Vintage, what is best suited to the Armour proc damage, Direct or AOE, or do neither apply... I got asked the question, and I simp;ly do not know the exact answer, so I thought I would ask here!

✭✭✭For PVE or PVP? If PVP, Macabre Vintage is useless. Even in PVE, it looks like more of a trash mob set as it would not work reliably, or at all, on most bosses.
Tarnished Nightmare is a decent PVP set and is used a lot. But there are much better sets for PVE, like Pillars of Nirn0 -

So a bit of Self education if nothing else.

Bleed can also be buffed by Thaumaturge as it is a DOT, but you are correct, some of the proc sets are confusing as to which CP does what0
