Hair still not dyeable.

We can dye nearly everything but the hair can still not be dyed. Why? Even on purchased hairstyles it is not possible to dye them. I have now the issue that the hair color does not match the rest of the outfit.

I don't know why. I suspect it may be some attempt at ' realism ' for the Races since your choice of race limits the color of the hair. For example, High Elves can not have Black hair.

And this has always bugged me. Because there are so many lore inaccurate things in the game, it just seems like nit-picking to somehow think that High Elves couldn't either be born with black hair, or, that they wouldn't dye their hair to be different, or fashionable.

2026 and its obsolete we dont have this option also colors needs to be better in game. its too dark or bleech....

I just paid 1 k crowns to change hair color. Perhaps that answers your question.

I don't want dyeable hair, unless the dyes we have access to are the hair colour samples.

A Cosmetic Pack with hair colours would be nice, have some restriction but still plenty of options, especially if it would work like the other cosmetic packs where you're not limited to the few options the character creator had but all of them. This could be improved further by adding the npc options we don't have access to, such as full black for altmer and imperials, that red colour Svana and other nords have etc.

yeah, I've noticed even the crown store colors are rarely vibrant. Best ones are the 4th of July for costumes.
I honestly don't understand why they bother to even list bland colors that sell for crowns. Who buys them ?

I don't buy colors, but I will chase achievements to get access to dull colors so that I don't look out of place with the game environment.

I've almost never found an enjoyable use out of the very saturated colors, like flamedrake red, except for on those very stubborn materials that need the most extreme dyes to even visibly change.

Just silly that we can not even dye the purchased hair styles. And even wasting a token is not in my sense. I have a festival outfit and a nature outfit. The current hair color does only fit to the first one. The second needs a more greenish tone.

Always has baffled me that in a world with all these magical things, and even the more mundane the likes of bodypaints, nobody in Tamriel has worked out hair dyes. I can understand the need for a change token to do other stuff: skin tone, eye colour etc. but hair should be a simple bit of customisation that we should be able to do without such drastic (and expensive) measures.

It can not be that I have to use either a helmet, a cap, or a skullcap to be able to dye these things to match the rest of the outfit.

I've been asking for black hair for high elves for years now... And still nothing. I can create a black-haired Altmer in Skyrim, but not in ESO? :thinking:?

Most MMO have hair dyeing as an option either in their UI or at particular locations in the game world. It's a bit outdated of ESO to not have this available. Considering the focus on bringing the game up to be in line with more modern MMO standards, one would hope that this might be on the list for future QOL improvements.
