Please OP don't burn your master writs on my word, but I remember reading on PTS notes the last time crafting celebration was tested that ONLY master writs found during said celebration will give double vouchers. All previously accumulated master writs will still give the standard value. That's why I did all the master writs I had without waiting the event. BUT I repeat - don't take my word for it; I don't want you to put a bounty on my head if this turns out to be false somehow.

That's 100% how it worked last time, just ones that dropped during were double.
You'll be better off doing them in double xp events. It's been great for levelling subclassing (yeah I know I'm a bit late to the party but don't do much group content!)

And I think that realisation has hit home after the last Zeal event in 2024. I sure hope it did.
While it is a small issue with consumables (rare or expensive ingredients), the big one is the motifs and traits of durables, really. Unless you had made the grinds to research all traits and had farmed a large amount of motifs, a player just couldn't get anything out of that event, except the tickets and selling master writs.
For me, it was maddeningly frustrating when I couldn't craft every second master writ, because I didn't know the motif. And I am a Grand Master Crafter with, now, over 80 fully known styles. Even reminiscing about the Zeal still makes me angry.
This game would be better off without the Zeal, unless they restructure it to incentivize players getting into crafting.

While I recognize the frustration where this is coming from, removing or changing the event would not be the solution. Crafters have worked long and hard to build up their motif knowledge, and there's no reason they shouldn't be rewarded for their efforts. The problem isn't the event, but the ever increasing list of motifs the master writs can draw from. Every new chapter over the last decade added more and more motifs to the mix.
That being said.. I believe the better solution should be to start retiring older motifs from the pool master writs can draw from (and perhaps the drop rate mechanic). Along with that, retired motifs should increase the drop rate of the entire book akin to the base game purple racial motifs. Leaving a more reasonable pool of motifs to draw from when generating master writs. This would keep the hunt alive for chasing the newer unlearned motifs, and reduce the angst derived from sifting through an ocean of motifs to find one the player can successfully complete.
