Holding the Line Until the Group Arrives

I engage the dragon alone-even knowing I’ll get wiped-just to lock it in place and prevent a chase. If no one engages, the dragon can fly off and turn the fight into a long pursuit. I’d rather take the hit early and hold it there. After the wipe, I revive, send out a call, and wait for the group to arrive. Once everyone is there, the fight, stabilizes quickly and we bring it down together. Everyone wins – clean fight, shared loot, and straight to the coffer.

I love your posts. Reminds me how fun overlanding can be with a bit of whimsy.

Appreciate that. Overland has its own kind of magic when you let it breathe a little.
