The same thing happens on PlayStation 5 since last update, the game closes completely without warning, displaying the message: "The app has stopped working." You can then send an error report to PlayStation support.

I had gotten "crash" messages in the launcher upon exiting the game, even after playing for hours without any issues, but had not gotten any actual in-game crashes-- until just now. I had cycled through all of my characters on PCEU to collect their mail, did daily crafting writs on my main character, then went to High Isle to pick up the Tales of Tribute PvE daily. Upon arriving at Riften and heading toward the tavern, the game crashed unexpectedly while I was moving through the merchant district in the center of town. I ran a repair just to be sure there is nothing wrong with my game installation, and hopefully I won't experience any more crashes like that.

Had my first crash around Vulkhel Guard in like.. 3+ years as well. Crash logger also popped up - PC-EU.

My game on PCEU just crashed too, had that happen a few times now since update 49. I've also had the launcher crash messages before, but usually the game just continues running? Repair didn't solve the problem for me.

I have also had an increase of stuttering and lag (without crashing) since updating to Windows 11, so even before update 49.

Hey, is there currently any fix or known solution for this?

I’m playing on PC (NA server), but I’m actually based in EU. I’ve been playing on PC for years and never had issues before. I took a break and just recently came back.

Right now, I’m leveling my partner in Black Rose Prison, and I’m crashing constantly — like every 15 minutes. Sometimes it lasts 30 minutes, sometimes only a few minutes.

We’ve already tried pretty much everything:

- Checked with our internet provider
- Restarted and adjusted router settings
- Changed DNS servers
- Adjusted ports and prioritized my PC via LAN
- Fully uninstalled and reinstalled all add-ons
- Played with and without add-ons

Nothing changes...

The weird thing is:
- Questing and open world content works perfectly fine
- As soon as I enter Black Rose Prison, dungeons, or pledges, I crash, usually during boss fights

My partner is playing on Steam Deck. At first, he had fewer issues and ESO ran fine, but now he’s also getting crashes.
So we really don’t think it’s an internet or add-on issue, and we have no idea what else to try.

Has anyone experienced this or found a solution?

Me and other team mate got serious random crash in "Fungal Grotto II" yesterday.
I checked my WWW network condition, but there're no problem at there.

I’ve tried the add-on thing as well. Like, when I turn them off during group fights, in BRP and in pledges, the game definitely lasts longer, like the game itself I mean, but it still crashes anyway.

And I genuinely can’t figure out what’s wrong with the add-ons. I’ve checked which ones might conflict, I’ve even talked to other people about it. Some of them are running way more add-ons than I am and they’ve got zero issues.

All my add-ons are updated. I’ve tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling, both the game and the add-ons, repairing the game, all that stuff.

Like I said, without add-ons the game runs longer, but it still crashes at some point. And with add-ons, sometimes I can barely play for like 15–20 minutes before it crashes again, especially in fights.

I really hope they fix this soon, because it’s actually so annoying having to play without add-ons while everyone else can just use theirs normally.

I just crashed at the bank in Davon's Watch, out of the blue.

I've been running it with no add-ons for a few days now, because these crashes are so frequent I cannot participate much in the event.
