Hi everyone! We want to share a quick update on ESO Plus benefits in relation to Seasons and the seasonal currencies. We have a path forward to make sure everyone who has an active ESO Plus subscription starting at the beginning of 2026 will get the seasonal currencies. This includes those who purchased multi-month subscriptions before January 2026 that covered January, February, and/or March 2026.
New ESO Plus memberships from March 9, 2026 onwards will receive their seasonal currencies alongside the purchase (delivered similar to how Crowns arrive now), while players with active memberships between January 1, 2026 and March 9, 2026 will have their currencies retroactively awarded on March 30, 2026. In both cases, the currencies are being delivered before the Season Zero launch on April 2. Please note that seasonal currencies will not be spendable until the Season Zero launch.

To be clear, we are still going to be receiving crowns with our subscription?

Yup! I renewed my yearly subscription in December. Curious how this works myself and others in that boat.
I have no stake in this, but what do you mean by left out? They've said you will get the currencies, the only thing that's not clear is how much. Reading between the lines I would guess you're getting eleven months worth of the currencies, the proportional amount for the months this year. This would mean everyone gets the same value for the same time frames.rosendoichinoveb17_ESO wrote: »spartaxoxo wrote: »Will the people who purchased a year of Plus before January 2026 have the full time credited? Same here. i renewed december and it would be unfair and demotivating if we get left out

That's not a reading I would have considered, but I understand the worry. Hopefully they clear that up for you all, I agree that such an interpretation would be incredibly unfair.spartaxoxo wrote: »PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »I have no stake in this, but what do you mean by left out? This part could be read as you'll only get the currencies that would have been rewarded for purchasing those 3 months.
Which means if someone say bought a family member a year of Plus as their Christmas present, it sounds like they'll get Jan-Mar only, whereas if they had bought the year sub March 10th then they'd get a year's worth.

I pay for ESO+ monthly. I resubbed in February due to the improved communication. Then I unsubbed again after I played hearts week and felt dissatisfied with the game quality, and especially now with having been ignored after having tagged staff about a concern that someone in ZOS was posting hate messages to players.
Assuming I decide to resub again...
does the eso+ I spent money on in February still count for the new season currency too? Or does it only count for people who did a multi-month subscription across those three months?

It's probably worth reminding people not to open the Tome Point coffers before Season Zero starts. Unless I'm mistaken, any points you gain from sealed coffers will count towards the seasonal unlocks. You need the points to purchase items from the Tome, but you also need them to unlock later pages of rewards in the Tome (done automatically as you gain Points). So if you claim the contents of a Tome Point coffer before Seasons are rolled out (assuming the system even lets you), you may get the currency, but you probably won't get the page unlock benefit.
For that matter, if you do get Tome Point coffers, it's probably best to sit on them until the very end of the season, to unlock stuff if you haven't managed to do so yet via gameplay. If you already have everything you want from that Tome, just hold the coffers for a future season.

I don't quite understand this about tome points. The unlocking mechanism sounds a little complicated to me, and I don't think we have any other system where you get penalised for opening a coffer early.
I hope there will be a clearly-written comprehensive guide to this new system (I've read ZOS' and eso-hub's article on it but it's hard to visualise at this point) when it launches.
The word coffer is misleading. The caches of Tome points are not coffers and do not show up as inventory items. They’re counted under the currency tab (even though they’re no more a currency than crown crates or transmutation geodes).
When you would like to get your 2k Tome points from a cache, you open a cache from within the Tome (like opening a crown crate from Pacrooti’s menu). Doing so grants you the 2k Tome points to spend and applies that 2k point gain to the current Tome, meaning it counts towards unlocking a new page of items. You can still unlock new pages of a Tome by getting Tome points from other activities (weekly and seasonal challenges), but opening/consuming a cache gets you a bunch of points immediately. You can choose to hold onto these caches for later seasons if you wish.

The way I understand it you should get points for the months starting from January of this year.
Possibly. We don't know becaise they won't say how any of this works.BretonMage wrote: »The word coffer is misleading. The caches of Tome points are not coffers and do not show up as inventory items. Thank you for the explanation. I suppose the highlighted part is the key point which makes the mechanism unavoidable. So when premium tome points "carry over", are those tome points carrying over for use and unlocking purposes for the next Tome, or are the premium Tome owners just getting to keep their previous season's Tome and the points contained there? Which means that premium Tome owners must also plan when to open their caches?

Its more like two seperate actions. The eso+ thst goes live on March 9th is when it goes into effect for new subscribers and gets delivered instantly.
What happens on March 30th is likely zos will run software to determine how many months you were subbed and for how long, then credit the full amount that you would have received if you subbed from January 1st.
So if you bought a year sub on December 1st, on March 30th you should receive 11 months worth of tome currency.
The Caches can be opened at any time and don't need to be opened during the current Season. The Points gained from them aren't any different from Points gained from the Free tier, they aren't counted separately or anything. There is no Free Tome Points vs Premium Tome Points; opening Caches and getting Points any other way will all go into the same count.BretonMage wrote: »The word coffer is misleading.
