Regarding Alts

DrakeRyuujin
Im tired of having lots of alts, dont want to micromanage all that stuff. I wanted only to get those class achievements. I want to delete them after maxing but I dont know what will I miss if I delete my alts. I mean I dont wanna delete them right now because something tells me that they will add more class related achievements regarding class mastery, well I think they will, I mean im tired of doing daily stuff and repetitive quests I just wanted to focus on a single character and thats it. but im afraid of deleting stuff leads me to miss stuf out the FOMO of not having alts is a big concern to me. I need help. I want to focus on a single character like in FFXIV but I need someone to help me decide

So focus. It doesn't cost you anything to keep the others on file in case you want them someday.

Don't delete them if you think you might want them later. It doesn't matter how long they sit there without being played. Choose your favorite and make that one your focus. You really aren't missing out on anything by not doing daily quests on multiple characters.

Noooo don't do it!! Forget they are there and just concentrate on your main.

At the very least that's a lot of storage space you are deleting!! 😲

I have 9 characters on the PCNA server and 8 characters on the PCEU server, but I play almost exclusively on just 1 PCNA character and 1 PCEU character. It doesn't hurt anything to keep my (mostly) unused alts, and they come in handy as mules for keeping excess inventory items that I don't want to sell or destroy. Every once in a while I'll play on one of my alts, such as going through a zone questline, so it's nice to have them available for things like that. Just because you create a character doesn't mean you're obligated to play on it a lot. And unless you decide you want to create a new character but don't have a free character slot available, there's no reason to delete any alts that you aren't playing on very much.

Don't waste your time by deleting them, a lot of those class achievements were only added relatively recently, there likely to add more in the future.

Having lots of alts lets you, do daily crafting quests on them for gold income and upgrade materials income, if nothing else gives you a lot of extra storage space, it costs you nothing to leave them sitting there for when you want to use them later on.

I understand the urge to not want to deal with that grindiness of alts.. but i see alts more of a fashion and style thing than a grindy thing. At the very least, I'd consider keeping one of each class and just choose your favorite to play and focus on. The other 6, like the other posters have said, can just be there in case you get bored of your main or need to play a different class to get the game fresh.

Play the game how you want to, though. You don't have to feel bad for playing a video game the way you want to play it.

Dont delete. If nothing else, just use them as free storage.

If you insist on deleting Alt, I'd recommend leaving at least one active. That way, when the day comes that you've done everything with your Main, your Alt will be there waiting, and you won't have start from scratch.
