hi question for PvP in eso if i want to be on the same playing field do Champion points still matter? i remember seeing pvp builds revolves around having 1k+ CP in which new players like myslef wont have lol and i hear to grind that much it would take months.

If you put aside all the other balancing aside. There are options to engage in Cyrodiil in a non-CP setting, you keep all your builds but CP is basically disabled. All Battlegrounds also follow this non-CP setting. However if you would like to go to Gray Host, main alliance-locked CP enabled campaign, you may feel some disadvantage.

On the other hand, at some point they reworked the CP points, so actually getting to CP 1000 should not take months if you actively play.

Also we are nearing anniversary event soon, and double experience is active during it. It runs a few weeks. Jester Festival also gives double experience if i remember correctly, which is in a few days.

Is non CP still active? last i played everyone pretty much stopped playing there and only play in CP modes

no cp cyro and no cp IC are basically dead, but BGs still have decent activity

they get more active though during the whitestrakes event
