Character Selection Screen Background Choices?

The character selection screen that shows a small field in Cyrodiil and some Ayleid ruins in the background is by all means pretty, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to use the former backgrounds that were used in the former expansions for the game such as Greymoor, Elsweyr, and more just like you can change the background music? I liked having an ominous gothic building in the background of a Skyrim forest on my character selection screen, and I'm sure many others miss this as well.

I really want this too. I would love for us to choose our background screen per character, including the original alliance based ones (though they might need some tweaking to make more modern). It'd also be cool if they added more for the expansions that did not have them or to fit certain themes (maybe race/class/etc).

Yesss, I would love to be able to have the background match the character. A lot of my characters are based around one Chapter so it’d be nice to be able to make the background their matching Chapter.

I personally would love to have the White Gold Tower in a peaceful sunny setting in Cyrodiil as a character selection screen background since my main character is a male Imperial. Perhaps the devs could position the setting where your character is standing somewhere near the edge of Lake Rumare with the Imperial City, and White Gold Tower in the background so that it lines up perfectly.

Could the background show your active companion, if you have one, on that toon, like they do with mounts and pets?

That would be a very good idea to implement. Companions should be allowed to wear visible helmets for once even too.

DC Universe Online added this feature years ago. So sad that dead 100% FREE MMOs like DCUO and Rift have great features living PAID MMOs like ESO do not.

Would love this, still. I remember this being suggested a couple times, like when they added the ability to choose the music.

And again when they had the short-lived but horrid Coldharbour background. (No offense to the fans of that one.)

I'd also add the option to choose the animated Login Screen backgrounds that were updated for each Chapter. PC users on Gamepad UI/Accessibility Mode only got to see the High Isle, Necrom, Gold Road and U45 backgrounds:
