and

nerfing VD and making it not do 9k damage per kill you get would basically fix the issue of you getting hit for a billion damage bcs some random with pve gear on decided to stand next to you in a keep or fight

1) Nerf VD how? By the time the proc goes off, you’ve probably already taken a significant amount of damage and wouldn’t require much to die, especially if someone squishy is in your group. You’d have to lower the damage so much that the set would literally be useless, at which point people would just swap to Plaguebreak.
2) In the current meta, you have to rely on someone squishy being there, because everyone else in a group has 36k - 44k HP with over 30k worth of shields and a ton of healing. And frankly, I’ve seen shielders and healers save players with 22k HP from bombs because they could read the situation and react accordingly.
I love the fact there is a post complaining about solo bombing but other posts compalining about zero counters to ball groups. Bombers are a necessary part of the game and serve a higher purpose than your x build made to do everything. Its all or nothing and I respect the commitment to send it.

If you play around large groups who are taking objectives, it's really not that easy to just avoid bombs altogether. Need to help run siege? Cap a flag? Get heals and buffs? Gotta be close to other players.

Situational awareness doesn’t have to go away just because other players are around you. Hold block, pop detect pots, stand further away from large blobs of close together players, and build tanky enough to survive an initial strike. Solo bombs are easy enough to avoid as long as you don’t play like an absolute Muppet.
