Considering the recent general reworks in the game...

What would you like to see improved in terms of immersion? I have a few personal requests, for example:

I would really love for the game to add storms and more interactions with the weather. Yes, we have rain in ESO, but it’s relatively mild. I’d like to see more “possible climates.” A storm where the rain becomes heavy and lightning starts striking from the sky, potentially hitting the player. Sandstorms in desert maps. Snowstorms in snowy regions. Even volcanic areas could have moments of ash storms or lava storms, since the volcanoes sometimes show signs of activity already (for example, Stonefalls could actually have stones falling, and Vvardenfell could become even more interesting with the occasional ash storm). Or even the golden rains of Black Marsh: the sap rains!

Some mechanics might be simple to add, others more complex, but I think an overhaul of Tamriel’s weather system could make the experience even more immersive.

Would you like a system like that? What ideas do you have to make the world of Tamriel more immersive?

I agree, and would love to see something done to implement player vs climate.

In Western Skyrim, there’s a huge swath of land in the north-east where you are affected by weather, and I love it.

Xbox Series X player here. After U49 I went to Galen to buy the new mount and experienced "heavy rain" for the first time. I don't know if they updated weather system for us console players to take it up on par with PC, but it was definitely better than the 2 drops we had before. But I didn't experience it anymore since then cause I always find sunny XD

I'd appreciate for sure to have better snow (and more snowy zones) and weather in general, but I think I recall bolts were removed from the game many updates ago because players didn't enjoy getting "jump-scared" out of nowhere by those exploding sounds in their ears.
I just wouldn't want to make ESO a survival.

later in the year we are supposed to get Dynamic Storms in Skyrim, when Greymoor becomes basegame which means it is probably in all Skyrim zones.

I don’t think adding a weather system would turn the game into a survival game. I think it would just add another layer of gameplay during exploration. That said, I don’t recall the game ever having lightning strike from the sky, except in the Deadlands but I’m not sure.

the lightning strikes in Deadlands can damage your character.

i do not remember regular lightning being removed?
i thought the jumpscare weather was still there, it is why i was so happy when Weather Control was added to Housing

It was just the loud sound and maybe a white flash on the screen? You wouldn't see the actual line descend from the sky. (Time has passed so memory is vague, but I remember something like this when I first started playing in 2017)

Lightning overhaul and AI-upscaled textures would go really hard imo. Weather overhaul is also nice

Ash storms in Vvardenfell would look cool. But only if it doesn't kill the framerate, which might be asking too much. NPCs commenting on the weather might be another steep request, but it would add some immersion.

I know this topic is a TES meme, but the world would be more believable if it actually had toilets. As far as I know, the only latrine in existence during 2E 583 is in Murkmire. Now that I think about it, there are very few places where one can shower or bathe.

Now, the steepest request of all is for the game to stop kicking me to login screen every single day. I'd say that's very immersion-breaking...

What it heavy snow, rain, and sandstorms could open up special time limited delves throughout Nirn with unique cosmetic rewards to treasure hunt for?

IE. A pile of snow up to a cave, sand blown away from the entrance of a ruin…

This could tie into the whole “fighting the environment” idea, where you have the option of a payout for exploring through inclement weather

This has to be a no from me. I'm very open to play customization but that feels like a step to far. It's far more immersive having multiple caught in a heavy rain thunderstorm enjoying the ambiance in silence. Or playing with a group and admiring the climate rather then someone being in summer and the other in winter.

I suspect that dynamic storms means dynamic [harrow]storms (i.e. upgrading the harrowstorms) but… we’ll have to wait and see!
