Hi! Just checking in to see if there have been any updates on this since the last message. Is there any news or an estimated timeframe for a possible change? Thanks!

The team will be implementing a skill style for Molten Weapons that does not include the weapon override. It will come from in-game sourcing, but further details are still being worked out and we'll provide another update when we can.

Thank you!!!!! Thank you!!!!! Can ZoS do the same for Inspired Scholarship (PLEASEEEEE) and all other effects that override our weapon motifs?!

    Because this looks really amazing;

by the way, thanks to the creator of this style.

This is not amazing… at least, not for me :(

Great news! Glad to see this came to (mostly) a resolution quicker than I expected. Thank you!

I actually like this one since you can still see your chosen style, but I could also agree it might be too much lighting. Hoping to see a toggle or default style option implemented with skills in the future.

“The team will be implementing a skill style for Molten Weapons that does not include the weapon override.”
Let’s hope they make this for all weapon skill effects. This would be truly fantastic!

That's a step forward, but I hope they no longer add bright effects to any skills. Especially those that have never had those types of effects.

Thank you so much @ZOS_Erin, you have been such a blessing to the community.

I do have to say, please for the love of [insert preferred Aedra/Daedra], keep EVERYTHING but the actual weapon replacement.

I love the glow and FX of the skill on the weapon, what I do not love, is that it is no longer MY weapon.

Also, I’m not sure if the goal should be to make a Skill Style that removes the weapon override… wouldn’t it be better if the override was the Skill Style instead?

    Let’s try this scenario:

We get the new Skill Style to remove the override and everyone is happy… awesome. A year down the road, Templar is up for rework, to celebrate, we have a new Skill Style pack and Molten Armaments are included. People go to look at them and it’s the same overridden weapon that we had a problem with, but pale yellow… yeah idk.

So how is this going to work? We have to buy a skill style to unstyle the skill? I like that there is a solution but I won’t like it if I have to grind or pay irl money for it. Especially if this becomes a trend.

I agree the override should be removed and a free skill style available for those who like it.

My solution is for them to stop putting outlandish styles on our skills in the first place.

The vast majority of new dk sounds and animations feel disjointed and without good hit feedback.
    Rest in Peace:

This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.

Can you please fix the sound too?

It doesn't really make sense, is way overblown, and makes a weird whipping noise when the skill is applied to weapons that aren't on the bar of it's use.

Yes I agree with this is what I am saying. They should undo the DK stuff, I have had an instance where my own sorc skills did not show when a ball group was nearby. I think the new skills are taxing the servers too much, or perhaps my own machine.
