Collusion & Match Fixing & Potential Real Money/Gold Trading on Playstation NA Gray Host campaign

I would like to bring to the attention to ZOS Devs that there is a high suspicion of collusion and match fixing activity in Gray Host campaign. There are 3 top pvp players primarily on the DC alliance and usually in the top ten on the leader board that systematically gate keep the map usually in off peak hours. There are 20 plus other players who are spread across all alliances to assist them in achieving their goal thus making this into a cartel. The question is why would these players systematically do this every day, spend long hours in Cyrodiil Gray Host? The 3 players are already well known so it isn't about being popular because you're just good at combat. Seeing as this has been an ongoing practice since beginning of 2025 it warrants that there is a high possibility that these players are being monetized through gold to help guilds and individual players to win campaigns and get emperor. In February 2026 these same 3 players suddenly hopped onto EP bringing with them around 15 plus players ensuring a win for EP prior to this a well known EP player stated in zone chat that EP was about to get a whole lot of people and a win for the upcoming campaign. This in itself looks suspicious. So here is how it is played out, these 3 mercenaries get paid with an injection of a enormous amount of gold, lets say 40 million and gifted alliance change tokens to ensure EP gets a a campaign win for February 2026 Gray Host the banker then deposits said gold into a false guild under a false ID and proceeds to buy high quality materials like tempering alloy as an example to sell to a website that buys these for real time money thus funding these 3 players with real time money. You have to ask yourself why would these 3 players always be in Gray Host everyday for at least 12 plus hours and rotate when one has to log off. Why would anyone who is apparently just having fun with their friends do this? Your average pvp veteran or casual player usually spends up to 5 hours in peak hours then logs off, this is normal. It seems that these 3 prominent players have made the Gray Host Campaign into a real world business that is paying them a salary. This is an organized group of 3 players who use coercion and manipulation to 20 plus other players and bring them into the fold by asking them to infiltrate and spy in rival alliances. The 3 players are known to not get involved in combat and sit on the sidelines watching the fights, you will see groups of AD, DC and EP not fighting certain other groups in large battles. If these 3 players are caught it would mean things would change a great deal in Gray Host, it would make an example to other players wanting to do the same thing, it would make Gray Host go back to normal and where there would be fairer fights and scoreboards, more people would return to pvp because a lot have left because of this. I don't have solid proof however it is happening and blatantly so. I would ask ZOS devs to contact me if they are at all interested in who these 3 prominent players are so they could do an audit on their activities in their communications through Playstation and Discord. It would be about finding more than just 3 but a network of people breaking the rules and code of conduct and initially making the Cyrodiil Gray Host campaign a horrible experience for so many other good people. This is not about being petty, it is about changing things and making them better for everyone.

Interesting post, a lot to unpack here as well, lol.

I play on the PS GH NA server primarily and also play on DC. I'm pretty sure I'm fully aware of who these players are you're talking about, as well as the EP player from the February campaign that sat in 1st place the entire campaign and would stay logged in for 12+ hours a day. This same group of players are now back on DC as you've stated for this campaign. I can honestly say they tend to rotate campaigns quite regularly. Are they getting gifted tokens to swap to help another campaign? Maybe, kinda hard to prove that though as players swap alliances every campaign. Is it rule breaking for a EP player to ask for a group of players to swap to EP for the extra population and help? Ehh, I don't see how. Is it silly? Yeah that's fair.

Either way, you're always going to have shady tactics being used in Cyrodiil. It's been happening for years. Players drop Volendrung and drop enemy scrolls to another alliance regularly for gold. Players boost for emp almost every campaign too. I don't have a simple fix for it and I'm sure others here would agree, it's been this way for years, lol

As much as I am down for unpacking an underhanded conspiracy, I concur with @xFocused. I think I know exactly who we are talking about. I doubt its a "financially motivated" thing and more of a "stop AD from winning" thing. Could also be a guild thing. Really, it could be anything.

I chalk it up to normal shenanigans in Cyrodiil.

Exactly, lol, when you see the same names over and over again in the top 10 sometimes on a different alliance, there's probably some shady behaviours going on. Best bet is just login and play to have fun and don't worry too much about campaign score, who the emp is and so forth...Cyrodiil becomes more fun that way

Thank you both for your replies. Cyrodiil is not fun anymore and hasn't been this way for some time because of what is happening and is ongoing. The problem needs to be addressed if there is to be a change and ensure new players stay if their main interest is PVP in ESO. Many big names have left and the population is less than half of what it used to be. It may take awhile but I have faith that with Zenimax's new idealogy for ESO developers will eventually tackle this prevalent problem.

See, I don’t think that problem is going to be fixed, unless you have concrete evidence that real money transactions are occurring and breaking ZoS TOS. Alliances colluding with each other is just normal Cyro gameplay, and not subjected to sanctions from the devs. If it were, it wouldn’t be happening everywhere in every campaign.

As much as I hate to say it, I think you’re stuck with those players until they decide they’re done, or one of them genuinely gets caught breaking the TOS somehow. Though even if they get banned, it wouldn’t be hard for them to come back.
