Will we see significant changes for the class refresh?

I am wondering if for the other class refreshes we will see significant changes to skills, animations, complete reworks of some classes / skill lines or just basically the same skills and animations just adjusted and overhauled? For example I would love if the winters embrace skill line for the warden was expanded to "elemental embrace" e.g. covering all elements not just frost... or even complete new skills we havent had so far (Always wanted a bear transformation for the Warden). Or do you think all the class refresh will essentially be just the same skills and skill lines just overhauled the same as DK was?

we do not know until we see it.

But adding even more damage types to Warden seems worse to me.
it already has Magic, Frost, Bleed, and Poison.
Replacing Magic damage with Frost and adding Poison skills to Green Balance seems better to me.

i can imagine some skills being changed a lot, but i believe zos will mainly update them and make them feel better to use.

A bear transformation like Archdruid Devyric has in Earthen Root Enclave would be awesome. Though it seems more fitting for a future Werebear transformation n

You have Sorcerer for shock and DK for fire, that leaves Warden for frost. They took the poison and physical damage out of DK and made it all fire, so it wouldn't surprise me if they made Sorc mostly shock damage and Warden mostly frost.

And what sense does it make lorewise that the nature mage is "frost" but apparently the necromancer that always have been frost mages in eso lore are master of the elements?
Besides in the new class masteries they specifically have one about applying status effects that references being adaptable to the elements.
On top of that the class fantasy says Warden are adaptable like the seasonS, which makes little sense if they only cover one season with winter.

"Adaptable to the elements", where elements is referring to seasons here. I.e. nature, weather, etc. not to elemental damage types. It is supposed to represent how nature (plants/animals) adapt to the different conditions of the 4 seasons.

I don't expect warden to be purely frost only, but likely a mix of frost and poison or frost and bleed, to tie in with the whole seasons aspect.

Poison or bleed would be a reference to the animals/plants that thrive in spring/summer/autumn while frost represents winter.

that doesnt make that much sense if then the bonus is related to the specific eso elemental status effects... bleed and poison arent really elemental

I think winter, poison spring and bleed summer is fine but it would be nice and thematically fitting if they added lightning to winter (storm) and physical (earth) to the nature line...

I mean the druids are using those two as well...and the warden should represent the ranger, druid etc power fantasies

For years players have been asking for more frost-based abilities for Warden, going so far as to ask for the pets to do frost damage. I don't recall that lore-wise DK was solely a fire-based class, correct me if I'm wrong... and it's entirely possible, as we've seen with subclassing, that following lore isn't a huge concern for ZOS anymore.

This means that they are free to make Warden a mostly frost class. I don't think they will be completely one element, but based on the class right now, at least making it a single element focused class, it would at least give it more of an identity instead of having it all over the place, making it more difficult to create a build around. I mean, if this skill does this, that skill does that, how do you bring gear together to support it all? You can't. Thus, having more of a single element makes it easier to create a build around, and yes it will make it less diverse, but that's already a thing with classes. DK now does all fire, Templar does (mostly) magic, Sorc does mostly shock, etc. Thus, having Warden do mostly frost, would fall in line with the themes of the other classes.

It seems to me that winter's embrace always felt a little far from animal companions and green balance. We should consider too zos moving skills between trees, which I think it will not happen for warden.

I like the idea of season-focusing, but i think it should be only frost and one martial (poison or bleed)

I think the next updates will be really important to judge whats happening - for me the hyperfocus on DDs means tanks and healers have to just make do with whats left over after DDs have been balanced, i find this is very concerning. The types of moves we saw on DK now seems over the top with the class masteries coming in.
