The audio for the new DK skills are distracting

Sure, refreshing the DK skills are nice and all, but I'm so distracted by the sounds, especially the Molten Weapons and the Incinerate skill. Instead of a subtle sizzle sound we now have a loud "clank", which I honestly think is so misplaced, not to mention when the sound "reignites" every time the group steps through a door or something. Maybe it's just my autism being stubborn, but I very much miss the old sounds! (Also the Earthspike Mantle looked so much better before this revamp, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is my motto, buuuut that's another discussion)

    I know we are getting a slider to tone down distracting visuals sometime soon but I've repeatedly asked if sounds are going to get the same treatment because I find them more bothersome/problematic than visuals for me and have yet to get an answer, so I'll ask again if we can also get a sound effect slider/toggle. I have noticed since the patch just how loud and sometimes distracting the new dk abilities are in trials compared to other abilities sound wise and even before that we have several cosmetics that use the sound effects from harrowstorms, dark anchors, and other loud sound effects.

    Absolutely, I agree! They kinda stick out like a sore thumb now in group content. Weirdly enough though, the Chains are almost silent compared to the old ones, which was very confusing at first because I wasn't sure I actually casted them, they are so hard to see now with all the other visual effects during combat.

    Yeah, the new sound effects are garbage imo. There's too much bass and distortion, almost like they were taken straight from a Skrillex concert circa 2013. Way too artificial for one of nature's primal elements. I really hope they don't butcher the sound effects for the other classes when they do their refresh.

    Tbh I'd give anything for them to rework the skill sounds so they're not so jarring

    I was a little groggy when I originally posted that so that was my bad on that. I don't want to spread misinformation. Still, my point is we desperately need for audio cues to have the same settings for the same reasons as the visual ones.

    The "earthspike mantle" sound is awful. It must have had inspiration from Alka-Seltzer since it sounds like a plop. Strict downgrade.

    This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.
