Class rework predictions

As we seen ZOS is keeping the classes with a theme. DK got flame damage, cause dragons spit fire. My predictions for the other classes. Warden gonna be poison. Necro gonna be diseased. Night blade gonna be bleed. Templar gonna be all Physical damage. Sorc gonna be shock. Arcanist, probably get frost. I'm thinking they gonna rework warden and take away the ice skill tree and make it poison.

This is my prediction. Other readers chime in and add your proverbial two cents. on which you think the classes gonna get in rework.

There’s 0 way they’d take frost from warden after building it up as a frost class for so long. The hints from shattered paths and the class mastery is that warden will become a status effect class. I think frost on mag abilities and poison on stam abilities seems likely but with the status effect bonuses, I don’t think it’s off the table that we get more than two damage types.

Necromancer could lose frost since I think only boneyard does frost damage and giving them more frost would probably be too warden-y. Disease makes sense.

Nightblade getting bleed would be sick since they have blood magic. Honestly, it’d make more sense than magic damage.

Templar, I really like the idea someone posted a month or so ago about adding radiant damage. But if that doesn’t happen, then probably magic and physical damage like it is now.

Sorcerer might be shock instead of shock/physical but gain oblivion damage.

Arcanist is like necromancer, it has 2 frost abilities. Except it makes less sense for arcanist to have frost than necromancer. No damage type really feels right for them, so I guess sticking with magic damage since they can’t just do all of them if warden’s the status effect class.

i do not believe all classes will be 1 damage type like Dragonknight.
Dragonknight was already majority Flame damage, but most other classes have multiple damage types spread throughout the class.
Plus Warden and Sorcerer have 1 skill line that focuses on their Frost and Shock.

Why would Frost get removed from the nature class and go to the rune magic class?

my guesses with the pictures from the class refresh article:
    Warden
    - Frost, Winter is a season and the Warden's power is supposed to be from seasons.
    - Poison.
    - Bleed.
Some of the Animals have Bleed which fits, but Poison fits for the Plant and Mushroom skills if they get damage morphs.

    Sorcerer
    - Shock
    - Magic maybe.
    0zsus4fcoauw.jpg

    Templar
    - Magic.
    - Physical maybe.
power from the sun and aedra is most likely only Magic as Magicka comes from Aetherius.
Physical is possible, but Templar's weapons are magical.

    Nightblade
    - Magic.
    - Bleed.
Blood magic, Shadow magic, and magic weapons.

    Necromancer
    - Disease
    - Frost
the dead are cold and can spread disease.

    Arcanist
    - Magic.

I think Physical has a decent chance for Sorcerer. The Clannfear, Bound Armaments and Hurricane all do Physical Damage, and Dark Magic's offensive options are visually crystalline, aside from Negate, so making that all Physical wouldn't be much of a stretch

I hope if anything, night blade get all bleed damage. If that was to happen, I'm crafting a set of blood drinker and automon. Because those armor sets gonna destroy anything that cross its path.

i think i'd like to see sorc as shock and physical or just pure shock, magic is way too prominent of a damage type and too boring. i'd much rather see arcanist expand upon overcharged

Based on prior history I predict that whatever else happens in the Nightblade rework, Dark Cloak will only heal you if you are standing on one leg in a bucket of custard.

I could see Necromancer’s magical coded damage going Frost but proccing the “burning” status effect, or Flame but proccing “chilled” as a way of codifying ghostly coldfire.

Warden’s status effects will be interesting. In medicine we have what’s known as the trauma triad of death: Hypothermia, Coagulopathy and Acidosis all compound one another. I could see a passive skill that boosts damage by 5% for each Chilled, Bleeding and Poisoned status effect a target has. I’m really hoping some of the Green Balance skills get a Poison damage conversion. Bring on the Venom Callers!

I’m also hoping each class will get a channeled DPS option in addition to a higher APM weaving style spammable.

Why the heck would warden be poison? sub assault is like a single skill. Actually its one morph of one skill. If anything warden would be bleed (basically all of Animal Companions) and frost (self explanatory) and NB would be poison or disease. My guess is poison with disease being shifted to Necro if the damage type specialization thing is going to be consistent.

ZoS stated and demonstrated that skill lines are no longer going to be role-specific which means Green Balance will likely get a number of DPS and Tank style morphs.

Warden’s theme is all about Seasons and Cycling Change so it makes a lot of sense that Poison is to Spring as Frost is to Winter. I doubt it will be single-damage type oriented like DK.

As stated warden gonna be poison. It goes with the seasons of which warden's are known. Night blade will get bleed, last time I checked assassins kill in cold blood.

How do you know this though? I can see poison or bleed working for warden and nightblade? We dont know for certain what they're doing. My hope is they pick 1 of those damage types for warden and 1 of them for nightblade, and just commit to making them better for said class with proper passives to bleed and poison damage and for their native status effects too.
