I completed the survey and am very optimistic with the new Development Team.
Our feedback during this PTS cycle were listened to and were taken into consideration. The weekly communication from the team was greatly appreciated by me.
Y’all cooked this update. One of the best updates for this game ever had tbh. Glad of the direction this game is going especially being my all time favorite game.
To Be conpletely honest I prefer pretty much everything about the previous dragon knight. Now it just feels like another burst class and DOTs are no longer relevant in pvp. Why would you run a dot build when the DK burst is stupid powerful. Speaking of powerful major, having protection in the hearth skill has just ruined 1v1s. Engulfing changed to some rubbish and put in a different tree which now ruined every saved sub class build I have. The animation looks terrible compared to the original. In fact all the animations are painfully annoying. Besides the igneous weapons which looks pretty cool. Just wish it added a glow to the original weapon style rather than changing it completely.
I come back to this game hoping the DK change would keep me interested, unfortunately this mistake has sealed the deal for me. I will be cancelling my ESO plus and just play on a casual basis. The one thing I enjoyed playing and been completely ruined for me. I hope others like the changes, but for me I’m actually really upset for what has become of such a great class.
Haven't had a whole lot of time to suss out the overall difference in efficacy on challenging content, but overall I really enjoy the changes. As a DK/2H main, I feel like I'm eating good this patch. Love the new animations and effects.
Just wanted to add to my previous remarks, because it keeps resonating, when the devs said during the reveal that one of their goals is transparency, and they would like to consult more with players even before they start developing, in some cases. I believe that balancing PvP is exactly one of these cases, as the recent reaction to healing in Cyro proves. It seems to me that sharing your ideas with the PvP community could pretty much accelerate this whole process of balancing PvP by making it more informed and accurate. Perhaps you could just poll some of the changes under consideration before you start working to have them ready for the PTS. I would rather have PvPers brainstorming propositions than complaining about all the unintended but potentially negative consequences of a change that took time to develop.
