DK Shatterspike Mantle timer bug

I keep seeing something odd with Shatterspike Mantle that surely is a bug.

I have ability timers enabled in on my ability bar and the timer for Shatterspike Mantle goes away whenever I leave combat. I still have all the spikes coming out of my back, but there are no numbers on my ability bar. If I stay in combat, then the time ticks down from 20 to 0 as expected.

I did in fact see the Shatterspike Mantle timer count down to zero when not in combat once and luckily it was while recording video footage for this bug report. In that case the cast of Shatterspike Mantle killed the enemy right away and so I might have left combat before the UI timer even noticed.

In the video you can see the following fights.

1) The bug. I start a fight and as soon as the enemy dies the Shatterspike Mantle timer disappears. I still have spike coming out of my back.
2) Long combat. 0:30s into the video I start another fight and the timer displays as expected.
3) One shot. 0:56s into the video I see enemy isn't dead and I cast Shatterspike Mantle again, killing the enemy. The timer keeps going even though I'm not in combat.
4) The bug again. 1:20 into the video I kill more enemies.

    The ability bar timers have always had issues with timers disappearing prematurely. It's usually because the timer is erroneously tracking a specific part of the skill.

    In this case, the timer is tracking the duration of the damage over time effect. When combat is over, all the enemies are dead; since there are no enemies affected by the damage over time, the skill timer is removed, even if you are otherwise benefiting from the skill's effects.

    I can see one specific case where this behaviour would be useful and I guess that's why it's done like this.

    If you are fighting a stream of trash (think HoF trash before the Archcustodian or the first HRC pull) then having the timer disappear is the only way you will know that you have killed all the trash you hit with your cast. Of course, you could just recast Shatterspike Mantle every five seconds because that will work fine in those cases too.
