Probably too good, but I am sure it'll get nerfed back down a bit once they have data

I just can't cope with a skill called "Wing buffet" without thinking about chicken and getting hungry
Too many toons not enough time

I'm not even bothering to play my DK bc I know once I finally level everything and learn a new rotation, ZOS will completely ruin it by nerfing it or changing it yet again as they always do. So tired of years and years of the unending overfbuff, overnerf cycle that destroys character and content progress. It just seems like change for the sake of change.

I don't see them nerfing DK anytime soon. The whole point of the class refresh process is to bring pure classing up to the same level as subclassed builds. For the next few months, DK's will be king simply by nature of being first to get the treatment. Going forward, DK's will be the baseline for the next refresh, as will each other class after that as their treatments are completed.

Yeah the problem is just how many would stick around? class refresh would take a couple of years atleast and not everyone is meta jumpers and would jump to the next strong thing each time a new class gets buffed, they would just quit as soon they find out that their favorite class is useless and they just gonna cannon fodder for DKs. And 2 years pluss is a long time to wait, imagine beeing the last class to get reworked, some games take shorter to make than 2 years. And if its right they would only focus werewolf next parch then it would be like 6 months until we even get the next class reworked. With the slow rate they are handeling this i think it could be more damaging for the game than good and drive even more players away, but time would show.

DK is about on par with the meta subclass combos post-rework. If people stuck around despite their "favorite class" being way behind a meta subclass combo for the past year, they'll stick around for this. Balance is already atrocious with Pure Classes being laughably underpowered compared to meta subclassing combos. ZOS is actively fixing this problem, albeit slowly.

Which is what the Class Mastery Passives coming with U50 are supposedly aimed to mitigate. They've (ZOS devs) stated that the passives will change and evolve along the class refresh process.

Thats not true at all, i have yet to die from something other then another DK since it came out, the last meta (ward/sorc/blade) in null arca etc is nothing compared to DK. Yeah they fixing it but they destroyed the game in 1 patch, and then taking 2 years and more tho fix it, if they even can.

I hope so, i must confess that Class Mastery passives got me a bit curious at least.

At this rate my Sorc should be at the level as everyone else by 2028.

Updating each class individually over a ridiculous period of time is the most egregiously stupid idea anyone in video game history has ever had.

And it shows no one at ZoS does PVP.

Doubtful if you see the Class Mastery skill lines they have cooking for the rest of the classes.

One of Nightblades states it increases the classes Crit Damage and Healing by 25% and maximum Crit Damage and Healing by 35%.

Frequency bias. There are more DKs right now because it's the shiny new toy. That doesn't mean they're better than an Assassination/Storm/Burst Line setup.

They better not. I've suffered more than two years of having a completely useless DK DPS prior to Update 49. I expect to be the unstoppable juggernaut that I am now post Update 49 until Hell freezes over (actual Hell, not Hell, Michigan which regularly freezes over every Winter.)

I am ever considering making my DK my main now and giving my Sorc a rest until it gets it's refresh. Just thinking about it. Nothing more. But it sure is fun burning EVERYTHING to the ground now unlike dying all the time like I did before this update.
