    Awesome!
Please, @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin if possible, any word on the bugs identified during PTS on the paid Tome's personality (Monster Slayer) about how it clips through back weapons and the blade orientation and others... Would be much appreciated since on PTS seems to still "be broken" and the Tome launch is approaching, with U49 already happened by the time of this stream

Apologies, I have tried finding an official thread for Update 49 discussion that wasn't PTS but I haven't had luck.

It's been mentioned there are 55 new furnishings:
"55 new furnishing plans are being sourced in four locations:

. 7 new Master Writ furnishings, which can be purchased from Rolis Hlaalu.

. 34 new structural furnishing plans, which can be acquired via the Solstice Reward Coffer, obtainable by
completing the Solstice World Boss, or Delve Daily Quests.

. 13 new furnishings plans can be found in the Deadlands, Fargrave, and the Night Market from monsters,
    containers, and more across Tamriel."

But 7+34+13 = 54 and I'm not even sure that is correct because there just may be 33 new structural furnishing plans?

    Thank you!

@ZOS_Kevin any word on making twitch drops available on reruns for people in time zones where these dev updates are in the middle of the night?

@ZOS_Kevin - now that the US is in daylight savings, can you confirm the time tomorrow.

Is this still 1pm ET - or is it really 1pm EDT?

For those of us not in the US, where daylight savings won't happen until end of the month, you're 4 hours from UK (5 from EU) not the usual 5 hours UK (6 hour EU) - and ET/EDT makes a difference to not missing the stream.

    Thanks for clarifying

Any chance you can put a banner up for live stream time and date like you do for maintenance? I can never figure out where the info is hiding

I'm not sure if you're looking for feedback on contents within the stream itself, so I won't go too in depth but I have one I really need to point out

And I'm aware you all said the pureclass passives weren't "lore approved" name and description wise but this one, again, really needs pointing out. The Arcanist pure class passive "Manifest Destiny" is a....loaded choice for a name alright. That has real, actual historical connotations that are quite in poor taste. This really can't make it into PTS, much less Live.

For anyone without context I'd recommend googling it, as it is a complex and loaded topic which isn't really appropriate for a video game forum

If Rousing Roar is kept with anything like those numbers, you guys might want to consider altering Basalt-Blooded Warrior.

If I can get a good uptime on Major Heroism just from using my ult or having someone in group with me ult on a pure DK having one of my class sets give me Major Heroism is kinda redundant.

The new werewolf forms do look a bit like hyenas. Not saying the forms look bad, but it might take me getting used to. It’s definitely an improvement over the original.

Hi, I have a character with dragonknight abilities, I'm going to post my honest review...

    the good:
    - lava whip, new effect is cool also the new sound fx nice
    - magma fist, nice new effects

    the horrible bad:
    - molten armaments:
why adding glow is a stander of 'looking better' is horrible it literally degrades the quality of effects, also in first person view you can't see anything due the glow, added screenshot..., the visual effects looked a lot better before, now looks as plastic and with a cheap glow effect... also affects the visual sight on first person terribly..

I really liked the molten armaments, was one of the main abilities on my character, because he is an enchanter and elemental magic (earth, fire and cold using the winter's embrace skill line), sadly I would have to remove that ability from his build because the annoying effect on first person... also the viuals looked a lot better before..

    - magma shell (ultimate) visuals looks so absurd... really...

Pleas fix them, at least remove the glow on molten armaments, is so unnecesary and pointless... so the screen can be seen in first person

On the Werewolf work in progress:

I feel Vampires fill the more lithe/stylish/slim-line transformation fantasy well in Tamriel, using blood and blood magick to get their way and deal with foes. By contrast I'd like to see Werewolves as physical hulking monsters, purely built (as the developers stated themselves) on a simpler gameplay style of overwhelming your foes with intimidate, brute strength, and vicious bleeds and bites.

When my character transforms into a werewolf, I'm not looking for them to hide in the shadows, I'm looking for them to be in my foe's faces, bringing fear to all faced against. Frenzied, rage-fill, losing-control, absolutely no second thoughts or indecision. I'd like our character's were-form appearance to reflect that.

To that end I feel the werewolf visual update so far can be seen as a missed opportunity. I don't dislike it by any means (though I feel the shoulders are *far* too narrow), I just think it's physical presence overall is really lacking. I feel we don't want subtle here, we want brutish looks/feels/actions and consequences.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Speaking of improvements: Since U49, the antique traces have been running longer, up to a year even. However, I only dig up the Dwemer ballists for PvP and the Mythics, the rest of the things are mainly housing parts that you can't sell or exploit, so I always let them expire, which wasn't a problem so far, after 4 weeks they were gone. Before the traces clog up my list for a year and make it confusing, is there a way to delete them? I haven't found any, and so far it wasn't necessary (see above)...

    Hi @ZOS_Kevin

I gave some feedback on last month’s dev updates, but I was about a week late to the forum and so I’m not sure if anyone from the dev team saw it. I love how the team has been so open to feedback recently, so I wanted to give my thoughts, and I hope you can pass this on to the combat design team. My original post was regarding the class mastery passives system, and since that was a big part of yesterday’s stream, I wanted to just reiterate my feedback and my feelings about it.

Overall it’s a great premise, and it sounds really fun. But the issue I have with it is actually similar to the issue that caused this system to be created in the first place: class identity. Many players love the identity of ESO’s core classes. But for me, the 7 pure classes in ESO feel like a very small and restrictive set of choices, and I love the existence of the subclassing system because it allows me to create a class identity that I enjoy playing. For example, creating a Nord Arcanist, who has drawn power from an apocryphal tome, but also swaps one skill line for Winter’s Embrace to represent their natural affinity with frost magic. Or a Dunmer Templar, who worships and is empowered by the tribunal, but substitutes a DK skill line to reflect their connection to the element of fire. Maybe even a mage using Winter’s Embrace, Ardent Flame, and Storm Calling, so I can finally tell J'zargo that I've mastered the expert level destruction spells. Under the existing subclassing system, doing something thematic like this wasn’t meta, but it wasn’t too much of a downgrade either. But with class mastery passives, it would be almost laughable for an arcanist to give up on a passive that (effectively) gives a PERMANENT 33% BUFF TO ALL DAMAGE just for a couple of cool looking frost spells. The reason the combat system needs balancing is that players don’t want to have to give up their character’s identity in order to choose specific meta combat abilities. I want to make sure that subclassed character identities aren’t forgotten in that process.

Ultimately I want the combat design team to balance subclassing and pureclassing, not wipe subclassing out completely. I’m not causing any issues by creating a thematic build using the subclassing system, rather the issue that needs to be addressed is that some very specific subclassing combinations are overpowered and some players exploit that. Those specific combinations need to be balanced, but once that issue is dealt with, I feel like there’s no reason my character as a (mostly) templar should be missing out on things like (effectively permanent) 300 health magicka and stamina regen, and 600 weapon and spell damage from the templar class mastery. It’s been made clear that the direction the class reworks are going in is to jumble the skill lines so that classes don’t have all their role specific skills and passives in a single skill line. If done correctly, this alone will be enough to bring subclassing on par with pureclassing. But with class mastery passives on top of that, I expect we will one day see the opposite problem of what we have now, with subclassing heavily underperforming.

Last month, my suggestion for how I would like the upcoming Class Mastery system to be adapted to fix this issue was to make this system more effective the more skill lines you keep from your base class. Perhaps if you have 2 skill lines from your base class and one from subclassing, you can choose one class mastery passive instead of the two that you get if pureclassed. However, I expect that once all of the class refreshes are complete, subclassing might even need more than this to stop it falling too far behind pure classes.

A lot of the feedback I’ve gone into so far is mainly regarding DPS and solo builds. When it comes to support roles, I don’t think that class mastery (as it currently stands) offers enough in order to bring pureclassed healers and tanks up to speed with their subclassed counterparts. This is because the main issue that drives support characters to subclass is group buffs. A lot of the class mastery passives focus on regen, self healing, and damage reduction, which isn’t what tanks and healers are missing in the current meta. The actual issue is that no single pureclass has access to a wide enough range of buffs, and unless more options for class mastery passives are added to address those pain points, you will still have support characters feeling like they are forced to subclass in order to optimise their utility and provide their group with the buffs they need.

Those are my thoughts, I’d really like a reassurance that the developers are keeping this in mind over the next couple of years while working on balancing combat, and aren’t just giving up on subclassing completely. Once class mastery and all of the class reworks come out, I don’t want to feel like I am being punished for subclassing and I can still enjoy the versatility and flavour of playing the way that I enjoy.

    Heya!

I play on the PS5 Eu server. I was wondering why the Quest tracker on the top right has been lowered so much since the update? Is there a particular reason or is this an error/bug? Also will there ever be a possibility of being able to reposition Eso interfaces? Like the quest tracker, the group roster, the hud chat etc.?

    Thank you in advance 🥰
