Voton's map is gone, as well as the rest of their add-ons. Can we PLEASE get a minimap base-game?

As apparently they told the rest of the add-on devs, Voton pulled their mini-map add-on from the game (at least from PS-NA).
This is a major pain.

I don't know all the background and politics, but it is far past time to get a mini-map as part of the base-game.

PLEASE.

It's also missing on XBox, the one add-on I've been looking forward to the most when they announced add-on's were coming to console.. Hopefully they bring it back soon or as the OP mentioned it should be part of the base game. My understanding is there was a mini-map during the beta for ESO many lunar phases ago and it never made it to live and got replaced with compass points instead.

I know many people use some mini map mod, so I hope it a mini map will officially be integrated into the game one day.

But I also hope it will have an UI setting to remain optional (otherwise I'll have to look for a mod then to remove it). I personally get along fine without a mini map and generally prefer as little clutter on my screen as possible, and I know I'm not the only person who plays the game like that.

Destinations is an Add-on that also has a mini map, and I do believe it can be used on the PS. I use it all the time, it's pretty nice.

@FlameDark Destinations looks interesting. But I installed it, and it isn't working. No map.

The ESOUI page says in needs LibMapData, which doesn't seem to exist.
Are there known conflicts?

Hmmm it might be a PS related issue then. It should pop up for you as it is listed as an available Lib addon for PS. Maybe a PS person who knows how to fix this, can come here and help?

i still have mine. i also have LibMapData. i'm not sure which addon i have uses that, but i see it under libraries in the game. i see that votan's uses harven though. wasn't that the one they needed to fix and zos was working with them on a solution?

disregard. i missed S and only saw NA

totally agree it should be in the game though. i don't see why it wouldn't be optional. every other game i have played with a minimap has a way to turn it off.

Yep, it had an official circular minimap that was great during closed beta. It even showed nearby resources for harvesting. No reason was given for its removal, but there was a heavy "immersion" push at the time by the creative director who wanted to minimize anything and everything he saw as mmoish.

Same reason for no nameplate options for awhile even though those were in early betas too.

This didn't change until Rich Lambert came in and he was a great breath of fresh air for ESO.

Obviously as with other ui elements, the minimap would be optional.

Most Mini Map add-ons only turn the original mini map back on.
In the end it doesn't matter which add-on does this.

it does matter as Votan's Minimap has a bunch of useful settings (unless those are all part of the original base game minimap).

the add-on seems to be back now, but there is no other Minimap add-on on Consoles so there was no alternative.

Is it back? It is for me on PS-NA, but I know sometimes caches can do weird things.

Above, Destinations was offered as an alternative. I wasn't able to get it to work, though.

If you guys get minimaps back, I hope you get MiniMap by Fyrakin. I prefer that one because I think a round minimap is more fitting in a fantasy setting. I just like it.

Also, when it's round I can fit Greyskull in the same corner.

Voton's is working again now and we already have another addon that adds settings to make it round. Probably wouldn't have bothered if it was just the square one but love the round ones!

Can't remember what it's called exactly and the PS is busy, but "round maps for Voton's" or something like that and you still need the main mini map addon. It doesn't add another menu, just more options in map appearance in the main mini map settings.
