In game comms for groups?

The only other "online game I have played is Ghost Recon Online (now Phantoms) which have an ingame comm system. I wish when you grouped up with people there was something like a comm link so you could just talk to eachother. How people type/read and move through a combat situation is beyond me. This would make group play more fun and effective.

There are quite a few well-established 3rd party voice comm programs that people use already, and many people have dedicated servers for them and their guildies. ESO would just be re-inventing the wheel to no purpose.

The first thing most players do when they play a game with voice chat, is turn it off, since it generally causes issues with the established program (mumble, Vent, TS) that they are using.

I guess I just need to join a guild who uses teamspeak

It's a very good option for public groups though games like planetside 2 and eve have in game coms and while most guilds there do use a third party program it's a lot easy for randoms to use in game versions.

I must admit I've never bothered to use in-game voice chat, no matter what game it was. I do use VOIP software to chat to family and friends as I play games, but I don't use that to chat to players either.
