Zos needs to balance it on the tip of a boot as it kicks it out. We don't need a card game inside of a action MMO!
The very idea of running a full size gaming rig pulling 200 -450 watts from the wall to play a card game inside a game is like cranking a car only to use the tail pipe as a hand warmer.
Also it takes a lot of data space that could be use for ...you know improving the REAL game. The download is already huge. I am sure this has to limit Zos in what can be added to keep the size down. So removing it would free up much needed room for meaningful improvement.
Port the game to something elective like choosing to download the PTS , on a different server.
Make TOT a Appstore game for mobile devices.

I'm sure they'll get to some new stuff eventually... but its not a priority. And with the cuts we have had to other things this year (dungeons, zones, still no new Classes...), I can see Tribute being on the back burner for a while before it gets its turn.

One of the things with a large MMO is the fact that there are so many things to do, and not everyone is going to love or hate everything. But it does feel bad when one of your favorite parts of the game is disliked by most others, because that does mean that logically it is bad for the game as a whole if the game caters to your wants at the expense of something more players would want.

Really? Because the last update we had to Scribing was... the Banner Bearer grimoire. In U44. Over a year ago.
Since then, we've had no new Grimoires. No new Scripts ever. Not even a pass to open existing Grimoires to other Scripts. And there are definitely skill lines (WW, Undaunted) that could use Grimoires, and there are some Scripts that make no sense not being useable on certain Grimoires (like why can a skill use one damage type and not a different one?)

Pardon me, I meant "scrying." So I'll rerwite my post with the right term.

Scribing people actually do like. And the designers are probably not capable of balancing scribing.

Scrying hasn't seen an update in... how long? There's no continued development of scrying each update that I see. Mythics are added, and those are acquired through scrying. If you were to instead ask "Does anyone really like their mythics?", the answer would be a resounding "You betcha!"
The random furnishings added to T-Maps? Perhaps not so much the acquisition, but the desire for the objects themselves? Yep. But again, the development of those items would have been done regardless how they're distributed into the world.

Development could hide mythic items behind ToT. They have hidden furnishings and achievements behind ToT. I don't see anyone complaining about scrying even though it is objectively less content than ToT. Maybe it would be fun to have some mythic items behind ToT. Or maybe mythic items should just be sold in the crown store. Would beat having to scry every zone.
