Traps in new Overland Difficulty

One question I had: will traps deal more damage to us with the new overland difficulty system?
I’m asking because I’ve always felt it was a bit of wasted potential for traps to deal so little damage. If this system also increases the damage we take from traps, that would be really fun!

✭✭✭✭✭I remember how much damage traps used to deal when I was still low-level and didn't have decent gear yet. I used to have to stop, watch them a few moments to get their timing, then dash through during their brief deactivated stages.
