She is effective if you want to level legerdemain with cheap items. Her 35% cut works out to 0 on items worth 1 gold.

Other than that, the cut can’t even be made up with Haggling and Infamous, so I’m glad it’s going away.

I already use her all the time. She occupies a slot on my quickwheel I use her so much. She's my junk vendor for those rando stolen items that occasionally sneak into my inventory from time to time and is just not worth the effort to go out of my way to an outlaw refuge. Not gonna turn my nose up at a better rate of return though.

YAS. I only used her for things that were such low-value that she wouldn't take a cut from fencing them. Being able to use her for everything is a massive QOL improvement.

It's not like the Outlaws Refuges will become obsolete for me. I'll still visit them if I feel like it. Just probably less for fencing and more for random other things, or even just for the atmosphere. I always wondered why they weren't more popular for small groups in roleplay. I've seen plenty of "criminal scum" RP'ing over the years, but never in the refuges, Thieves Den, or Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

I use them a lot for laundering. Tbh I'd rather Pirharri launder than fence (though both would be ideal), because I'd much rather launder my 50K worth of furnishing plans than 2K worth of fenced items.

But for sure, no more 30% cut (or whatever it was) is a great QoL improvement.

Haven't used it because of that fee so I know next to nothing about it. Now that the fee is gone, I will probably get it.

Question, does it scale with the Haggling passive from Thieves Guild?

Same. A while ago I started to check what are my missing achievements since I already start to near the end of achievement hunting. Until now I have gathered them just by playing but not really hunting for them.

So I made a thieving build and optimised all the fun out of the pickpocket mechanic. I have now only Solstice and Craglorn larceny achievements left. By my estimation, after I am done with both I will have about 600k towards the Black Market Mogul achievement.

Pirharri would be quite useful after the last larceny achievement is done and I still have 400k to steal. If it scales with the Haggling passive, that is.

I tried selling a white treasure worth 40 gold to Pirharri, she offered me 35 gold for it.
The outlaw refuge offered me 54 gold. This is with the infamous champion point slotted which increases the value of fenced items by 25%.

I would be interested to hear about optimized pick pocket builds. Some of my white whales in this game are furnishings that can only be gotten by pickpocketing. The table runners come to mind. So anything to make it more optimal is always welcome. Not to be too off topic. I told had missed this change and announced it in discord. To a very happy reception. What a great QoL change.

I should probably update that. I made that when I started to do my achievements. But after playing I noticed mag based might be better than stam based.

Oh yeah and since you don't need to do any combat (if you get caught, just crouch, click cloak and jog away - you will be faster than guard's flare reaches) you can just do whatever combat skills you like. Doesn't matter. And use Crown Refreshing Drinks since you probably have a million of them and have no idea what to do with them. Recovery only food is enough for this. Even without any food, but more comfortable with recovery.

Never really need mag for a thief build. Stamina is key for sprinting, dodge rolling, etc.. when you're escaping guards. Only thing a thief might want magicka for would be Shadow Cloak. But even the minimum amount of mag is plentiful since the marjority of time a thief needs it is while they're stationary (looting a safebox in a room full of witnesses for example).

Do you mean does Haggling work with Pirharri? If so, yes. Both Haggling and Infamous work with her the same way they work at normal fences.

The current issue is her cut, which is implemented in such a way that even with the 10% from Haggling and the 25% from Infamous, you cannot make up the 35% loss.

The game implements the 35% cut by multiplying your profit by 0.65. It implements your bonuses by adding them together and then multiplying (so x1.10 for Haggling, x1.25 for Infamous, x1.35 for both). As a result, even with both bonuses you still only get 87.75% of the original value (0.65 x 1.35 = 0.8775).

With only Haggling, you only get 0.65 x 1.10 = 71.5% of the original value.

Once Pirharri's cut goes away, you'll get the full 10% out of Haggling (110% of the original value), the full 25% out of Infamous, and the full 35% bonus for both. The values will be identical to what you get from a normal fence, barring any bugs.

Yeah, that's what I thought too when I made the build. But in practice I have noticed speed and Shadow Cloak are the ones I need. The only thing I don't get passively is Major Expedition, but for that there's RAT. I don't really need to sprint or dodge roll. If I get caught and run from guards, just hit Ctrl (for crouch) -> Shadow Cloak and keep W down. No need to touch Shift at all. They throw a flare but I am out of the AOE before it hits.

The stamina cost of sneak is so minimal and I don't really need stamina for anything else, that more magicka would allow me to jog longer before I need to either drink a mag trash pot or stop for a sec to recover mag. But I haven't bothered to swap the glyphs yet because it works anyway. Standing still and I have infinite Shadow Cloak anyway.

Ok, I guess it's time to get that one, then. Well, when the change comes. The cut has been such a deterrent that I have not even checked if the passives work with it.

Pirharri offers fencing services only, no laundering.

    About her 35% cut,
first green item in image below sells for 405g at any fence (haggling bonus at 35%).
    NPC-Fencer.jpg

With Pirharri, the 405g item sells for only 265g.

Ignore the 17k item, that's an MM price.

Yep, laundering! I don't do a lot of laundering these days since I have plenty of Covetous Countess items and rarely pick up anything worth laundering anymore. (That said, I actually pickpocketed a plan for the Khajiit Skooma Bubbler this week—score! :D) But my main uses of the Outlaws Refuges are for fencing/laundering and Remains-Silent, and those aren't part of Pirharri's skillset. So I don't see the refuges becoming ghost zones any time soon.

And now that I think of it, some people like to hide out in Refuges while their bounty goes away, if it's just a little one they don't want to risk becoming a big one. Get to safety in the Refuge, AFK to grab a snack, and by the time you're back, it's safe to go out among the crowds again. That's not going away with Pirharri no longer taking a cut. She can't pay off your bounty for you. I never pay off my bounties because I have all the skillpoint/champion point perks to make them as inconsequential as possible. But plenty of other players do pay theirs, and will still need to enter a Refuge for that.

I believe when they make these assistants they are trying to add convenience without eliminating NPC.
The cut was a way of paying extra for the instant service, but I am happy to see they remove it.
I am not sure if they would add laundering because then you will never visit the NPC.

Oh right, you get Pirharri from completing the Thieves Guild questline, not from the crown store. I just checked and wondered why I have it because I don't remember spending any crowns on something I had no intention of using.

Last thing I need to check is whether selling stuff to Pirharri advances the Black Market Mogul achievement. That's the only thieving achievement I am still missing.

Anyway, finally swapped stam glyphs to mag and changed my attributes likewise to mag. Here's my build:
    zewcqb4hp9jh.png
The only skills that matter are RAT, Shadow Cloak and Concealed Weapon. Concealed Weapon is just for the passive. Back bar weapon doesn't matter. Sneak speed is fast enough that you will be out of a guard's flare before it strikes while sneaking and in cloak. Stamina cost of sneak is so low that your recovery keeps your stamina at 100% anyway.

Mother's Embrace gives a flat sneak bonus so it doesn't need to be golden.
Darloc Brae's bonus depends on quality, so that set should be upgraded to max.

Shadow Cloak has been changed, the reduce cost glyph doesn't affect it any more. But I am not swapping those glyphs to anything else because I don't really need anything on this build and the reduce mag cost glyphs allow me to spam RAT more.

    Blue CP doesn't matter.
Only Celerity and Rejuvenation red CPs matter.
    Green CPs matter.
