Outfit Slot Compensation

Sorry if I missed something, but has there been any kind of announcement on compensation for those of us who have spent crowns on more than 10 outfit slots as they go account-wide in a few days? Thanks!

Ouch! That's a fair point. I haven't personally as I don't really care about cosmetics too much but I can see how some people might have invested alot into this.

They have not made an offical statement but as I've thought about it I'm less worried because I gain more outfits than I lose overall and the last time I bought an outfit slot was years ago. The way I look at it is I had access to those slots for years and I got my value out of them. I know other people might be in different scenarios.

They did refund people who bought the snow bear in the crown store recently since it will be available for in game gold in a few days. I can see them maybe doing something like that for some people. They did mention something about a case by case basis last I heard.

I didn't hear anything about it. Maybe try to write to support, explain them your situation and maybe they will give you something.

Why would they give us compensation? I paid for Orsinium, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, and Greymoor. All of those are going to be free over the course of this year, but I'm not going to be getting anything for that. I'm not trying to be snarky, but it is what it is. No one is going to get any money back

Because they said they were discussing it internally and I wondered if they had made an announcement.

I absolutely am interested in this as well. Jesh and I have an absurd amount of outfit slots and I'd rather not lose money when the long-term plan (including irl spending) was 10 slots on all 20 characters. No, I'm not that far along yet, but I'm certainly past the 10 outfits purchased/gifted.

I'd love to know what the official response from ZoS will be. I'd even take tome bars, if nothing else.

Ahh that would be news to me! Don't get me wrong, I totally get the sentiment and I've certainly spent my fair share of crowns on outfit slots. I'd be all for it, but it would certainly set a new precedent. When I was brand new to this game years ago I didn't know any better and bought a werewolf bite through the crown store (I know better now obviously), but that's kind of the same idea. Would I get a refund all these years later because I spent money on something they eventually chose to make free?

I'd love the crowns refunded, but I highly doubt that we'll ever see it :(

100% fine with tome bars too.

Every variant of my character will go from 3-5 outfit slots to 10. I'm stoked!

I don't know how it might impact future character slots but I don't care. I'll never use another character slot since bringing a new one fully up from zero is way too tedious for me to ever do again (despite the nice upcoming change to mount training). Biggest drag is some of the non-class skill lines (antiquities, psijic, mg, fg, legardemain, crafting). That is why I love subclassing - next best thing to no classes or a class change token.
