IMO if two people want to do an equal numbers duel, they should make a good faith effort to not let it be confused with two random people fighting.
Whats the consensus about helping or watching if two people fight in Cyrodiil or IC?
For me, it always felt like staying outside from a duel, but fighting if three or more people.
Today, I received the criticism to not having helped during such a „duel“, so Im curious how you handle this.

The correct thing to do is wait to see who’s winning, if it’s your faction mate winning than you don’t help but if the enemy starts winning you gank them and whisper “good fight”

In my case, thats what I wanted to do (without whispering to the enemy, but ready to help if my faction mate risks to lose).
Problem was, that both seemed to be very equal, and suddenly, within 1-2 seconds, his Health bar dropped almost instantly.
Thus I realized that I cant wait and watch, fight can be over surprisingly quick, so one should act without delay.
Yeah, that's the sort of fight that prompted me to support my alliance mates even if it is just a heal or two. I'm always appreciative of others helping me in a fight, especially as I used to be a pure PvP healer and needed about 3 weeks to kill anyone in a duelcuddles_with_wroble wrote: »Whats the consensus about helping or watching if two people fight in Cyrodiil or IC?
