Clarity regarding outfit slots for U49

Hi there, can anyone explain the exact mechanism how the rollover to account-wide outfit slots will work? I have multiple characters some of which having 3-4 outfit slots meaning my grand total of purchased slot exceeds the new account-wide 10 limit. Does this mean I am going to lose some outfits on certain characters as they form a account-wide set of shared outfits or are they still character locked and characters I have say only 2 outfit slots on will suddenly have 10 (with 8 unused)?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You will not lose any Outfits no.

The slots are account wide and the appearance of them is character specific.

if all your characters combined have 10 Outfit Slots or more, then every single character will have that number of slots.

    From PTS:

As you log into your other characters, their purchased outfit slots will be added to the total. So if you have 5 slots total on your main, then they'll still have 5. Once you log into your next character (let's say they have 3, which is the one default and two bought), then both characters will have a total of 7 slots. That will continue until you have 10.

Any purchased after 10 are lost.

The characters will keep the outfits they have, just the new slots they get from this will just show as "Outfit 7" or whatever and be empty. No characters will lose an outfit you have already made.

Outfits are still character based. Every outfit slot you have on a character will be granted to other characters also. So for example if my main has 6 outfit slots and another alt has 2 and another alt has 0, all characters on my account would now have 8 outfit slots to use individually. You need to log into the characters with the outfit slots after u49 launches for them to register/appear proprely (like usual with changes like this). There is no official word on what happens if you have more than 10 outfit slots total on your account across characters currently but it's probably safe to assume they will be "lost" since outfits still cap at 10.

From what I read, it seems to be account wide amount, but character wide saving. So, whichever character has the most outfit slots currently, that is the amount of outfit slots your characters will have each. So if the highest amount of outfit slots you have currently on a single character is 10, then every character will have 10 outfit slots after the update.

So let's say you have a character with 10 outfit slots, and one with 3 outfit slots. After the update nothing changes for the character with 10 outfit slots. But the second character will now also have 10 outfit slots with the 7 extra being blank until used, and not shared with your other characters.

Thanks all, much appreciate the clarification regarding the account wide outfit slots coming in U49. Very glad I wont have to snap photos of all my outfits to save them. Hopefully there's some kind of reimbursement of crowns for those of us that have purchased more slots than the allocated account wide allowance.

Not "most outfit slots". Sum of slots from all characters, up to 10.

    From patch notes for PTS:
"Outfit Slots are now account-wide, while appearance remains tied to character.
Any previously purchased Outfit Slots have also been converted to account-wide slots, up to a total maximum of 10.
Note: Previously purchased Outfit Slots are additive up to 10. For example, if Character A has 2 purchased outfit slots, and character B has 3 purchased outfit slots, you now have 6 Account-wide outfit Slots. (2+3+1 ‘natural’ Outfit Slots"
