Healbots spamming Templar healing ult ever 5s are ruining BGs

Recently there's a lot of templar healers in BGs who spam the healing ult pretty much on cooldown, due to subclassing and scribing giving so much ult gen and ult cost reduction. This has absolutely ruined the fun of battlegrounds. Each match with such as healbot is more or less a waste of time - it's impossible to kill them or anyone on their team, and it's uncounterable - if you don't have a healer on your team, then it's install loss, if you do - it will be an incredibly boring 20 minute match in which no one dies.

Oblivion_Protocol✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, but any decent healer makes a massive difference to any team, ult spam or not. That’s how it is in every game that has PvP, and that’s how it should be. I wouldn’t roll a healer and join a BG just for my team to get shredded like I wasn’t there.
And honestly, with enough coordination and decent DPS, you can out damage a healer’s ability to manage.1 -
ViggyBoi✭✭✭All because of subclassing, aaaaaaand to fix this issue, if it ever DOES get fixed, they're probably going to end up heavily nerfing regular plars by disabling ult gen while its active or increasing the cost or nerfing the heal value or something. There are ways to counter this spec but doing so tends to be incredibly specific in an environment you cant always expect to run into it. So the problem build you can slap onto any team but the solution to said problem isnt guaranteed to be effective nor serves much use outside of those situations.Edited by ViggyBoi on February 15, 2026 8:11PM1 -

The Templar healing ultimate is first and foremost the worst of the healing ultimates and spamming it is actually less healing than a well built healer with full buff sets.
As others have said you could pack negate or you could just pack enough burst damage to kill the dps players through the healing ult.
If all they are doing is sitting there spamming the ulti they contribute absolutely nothing to their team other than raw healing and aren’t casting any sort of utility, so just ignore them and work on focus bursting their damage dealers2
