And if I recall correctly, many pinks and similar shades are behind hard content (lots of the rare dyes are remaining unlocked to me)

yes, but there are 3 pink dyes exclusive to Dye Stamps from the Crown Store. we cannot use those on Outfits.
And even on Costumes it is frustrating to use Dye Stamps, they are one time use

Many of the "red" colors look pink to me. Scintillating was the last decent red I've seen.

It's worth knowing a few things:

Firstly, the preview colours in the tiny menu windows often lie to you.
EG: King orgnum's wine and Sanity's orchid both look like they're at the middle of the purple spectrum in preview, but are both actually pretty far towards the blue end of the spectrum.

Secondly, dye names are also unhelpful or outright misleading at times.
EG: Pact fisher red is more of a peach/pink colour, and Ironweed violet is almost straight up pink with maybe a smidge of blue added to the mix.

Thirdly, the base colour of a given motif or outfit can distort your dyes.
Try dying ebonheart pact heavy motif pieces white if you need a demonstration.

Fourth, the lighting at the station can mess with the preview.
I recommend using a dye station you placed in your own home so you can control the lighting level as opposed to, say, the dark, dingy station in the basement of Riften.

And of course, your definition of "pink" might not match that of others.


Sometimes you just have to go to a dye station and actually try out everything even vaguely close to the desired colour to see what you get.
There's more pink spectrum dyes available than a cursory glance might lead you to believe.

IMO there should not be exclusive Holiday Dyes, all Dyes should be earnable in-game. That’s the entire reward structure, and when you start putting great dyes as paid exclusives instead of actual rewards for content, people stop playing the content.

Once upon a time, Voidsteel Violet and Akatosh’s Scales Gold meant something.

I miss having dyes like these to hunt down.

I'd like to see more dyes in general, but good ones. I'd rather have good dyes than a title I nor anyone else cares about.

Same, like I'm sure I have at least 10 pinks of different shades, but I'm still waiting on a single proper yellow. Why do we have so few dyes in the yellow and orange range, which does not look brown, green, or beige.

Don't forget the absurdly metallic dyes that ruin the vibe when you just wanted something normally clothe-like or matte.

Urgh yes, I don't understand why we get so many of these ultra glossy dyes with metallic or iridescent effects that just looks weird and/or plasticy on most things.

I just want more nice matte dyes of all colours that got a good saturation. But not too bright or saturated because that's an issue too. Probably why I'm rarely interested in the crown exclusive dye stamps because many of them are just so glossy and so saturated they look weird.
