Weird bug in Archive -- no verse, can't progress

I got a rather weird bug in the archive today. Running with another player, on one of the stages, I got no verse to pick. At first, interacting with the (whatever that thing that gives verses is) was just tossing me to the floor, then I tried all kinds of stuff including disconnecting, leaving the instance, BOTH of us leaving the instance, every time on re-entry into the archive, there was just a black splat, no verse to pick up, no portal to progress.

There was a mob popping up now and then on a timer, but that's it.

I did not, because it's a very intermittent issue, happened to me only twice, and there are no logs which would have possibly been saved to pinpoint it. Wonder if anyone else hit it, too, though.

Something similarish happened to me once, i was messing around on my phone before picking the verse, and the thing just disappeared (as if i had chosen it)
I had to leave ia and come back, resumed my progress but without an upgrade on that level

This seems to be a legit safety feature. If you wait too long, you lose verse. I think it is in case your duo partner goes afk and never picks a verse, the person remaining behind won't be stuck forever waiting on absent partner to choose a verse. But it seems to be just a general timeout on picking a verse, not truly tied to having two human players in there and only one took a verse.

That, and there's also a tough mob, not boss level, but like... A minotaur, or a lich, or a crow spawning if you wait for a while there.

This is NOT what I had happen. Well, it happened, too, so it was clearly not just some kind of a freeze.
