New to Thieving

Can anyone help me put together a definitive, up-to-date list of the most valuable, thieving-exclusive items?

I googled it, and the results were either outdated, or took the form of a mixed up list of furnishings, with no easy way to sort through it.

I want to know what each item is, and where's the best place to steal it.

honestly there is some furnishings you get from picket pocketing like bounty sheets but not a whole lot else maybe the odd furnishing plan but value on traders varies from player to player and a red spool of thread which only seems to come from one house in hews bane near crafting station and one house from Balmora in Vvardenfell beyond your just gonna get bound treasures to sell to fences

Couldn't you pursue a more respectable profession like speculating on basic goods in guild traders or murdering entire dungeons for high-value loot?

Generally speaking, the newest overland DLC has high furnishing plan prices. But it’s been almost a year, so the prices have probably fallen.

off the top of my head... there's a khajiit ponder sphere (ball of yarn) furnishing worth 200-300k on traders. forget where it drops but i picked one up on my alt account yesterday and i don't have much dlc content there. there's a fabric furnishing that can only be stolen from wardrobes in elsweyr. there's only 4 or 5 of them. has to be stolen, so the non-stealing wardrobes don't count. i don't know what it goes for now, but it's always been pretty high because it's such a pain to get. there's a skooma bubbler you can pickpocket off of certain npcs, but it's no different from the one that can be crafted now, so i don't think it's worth much.

even an outdated list may be helpful because i don't know that they added a whole lot to this after elsweyr. and there wasn't all that much to begin with. with the available things that they dropped from and the abysmal drop rates, i'm kinda glad they didn't continue with it. i don't know why they couldn't just make it a respectable drop rate. does it really matter that a furnishing sells for a couple thousand and more ppl have it instead of a couple mil and next to no one has it?

Velothi Triptychs from safeboxes in Vvardenfell. Velothi Paintings (classic and modest) from pickpocketing and/or safeboxes in Vvardenfell. And the Velothi Tapestries which can be found (I think) from any stealing actvity in Vvadenfell. I once thought the tapestries were exclusively stolen from wardrobes/dressers/etc.. but recently acquired one from a safebox.
