You can get Mara's Parcels from (edit: Blacksmith only?) surveys

Other events that gave boxes from resource nodes did not have boxes drop from surveys?

Or do you mean resource events do not apply to surveys? This is not a bonus resource event and so not comparable to those.

Looks like it isn't a guaranteed drop from survey nodes though. Did Craglorn Alchemy II with companion out and nada.

5 minutes cooldown plus no guaranteed parcel from nodes won‘t make it an efficient farm though.
Digging up a treasure map every 5 minutes seems better.

They did not for me last time. However, now I think that may be because of the survey type. I was getting plenty of parcels today with Blacksmith Surveys, but I have not received any parcels from doing the same amount of Clothier Surveys. For the last event, I only did Clothier Surveys.

That is true. It's just a something for people who hold on to surveys for a decent time; this little bonus can make this time more worthwhile.

If it's only happening with blacksmithing surveys, I suspect there is a bug with them (because they also drop Luminous Ink), and no other surveys drop them. I think when they added in the unique blacksmithing gathering to the loot table to blacksmith nodes (including surveys), they changed the classification of them and now they drop other things they were not intended to.

Thank you for your reply; this is great information and insight, and I will continue holding off on doing Enchanter Surveys since it looks like they still won't be very worthwhile (unless you would like me to do some to test if they can drop event boxes).

I did 220+ blacksmithing surveys yesterday and got a box every 7 minutes like clockwork. I know the cool down is 5 minutes and I know it's lower chance but it was every 7 minutes id get one. Did some other surveys today and didn't get any boxes so it must be blacksmithing only and maybe not intended. Idk.

fyi blacksmithing survey's have been weird for awhile now, they are the only ones that seemed to drop inks too.

It's been ever since they added the Hroldan Hammer Mining animation that they've dropped Ink. (Update 43, iirc?) Who knows what else is in the loot table now...

Are you sure it's not just rng? Resource nodes have a small chance to drop parcels.
