Oblivion portals not getting event box with companions

I tried doing deadland oblivion portal to farm boxed with companions, but I get nothing. But on the other hand if I group with another player I get a box.

Is this normal?

Technically I think it is considered a public dungeon, they aren't dropping in them. In past events it did seem to be an exception and drop.

I can confirm they don't drop in public dungeons. Which I find weird since for example during Witches Fest, boxes do drop from public dungeon bosses.

Oblivion Portals are technically an Incursion. It's an odd duck, but IIRC it's classified as an incursion despite playing like a public dungeon. And incursions only have a chance at dropping parcels. The chest at the end is an Incursion chest, despite being able to camp it and farm it.

It’s a real drag that they aren’t dropping in public dungeons, that is the best way to level up your companions. One boss every five minutes is super slow.

Do you think they did this intentionally?

I would assume so, beings that it was excluded in the overview of the event. Delves but not public dungeons doesn't make much sense to me, but okay. Maybe they will take feed back and make changes for future years.
