Hi, I stopped playing ESO some time after the release of Solstice (part one), and now I'm wondering what's new in ESO and whether I should return to ESO and give it another try...
Before I download ESO again, could someone please write down some of the main (important?) new features in the game?
I'm primarily interested in any updates to Antiquities (when I played ESO, collecting the codex was my primary activity and hobby). Also, when it comes to writs, is there anything new here? And, I'm something like "Sorcerer enjoyer", I played a one-bar HA build with pets, is there anything new in terms of balance, etc.?
I don't need every single detail, just a TL;DR of what's new in the areas I mentioned.

No updates to antiquities, master writs are stackable, HA meta is still Rakkhat. You missed the 2026 plans. ZOS is being more communicative. Can look up ESO 2026 seasons and there’s a lot of good infographics ZOS has posted.

Leads will be available to scry for longer periods of time before they expire.

Solstice came out in June 2025, about 8 months ago, so there haven't been any big changes in that time. You missed the dungeon event that introduced the second section of the island, but from what I've heard you didn't miss much. The eastern section of the island is now available though.

I recommend looking up what's coming later this year though, which is all detailed on the main site. They're switching from selling chapters and DLC to cosmetics focused season passes, and whatever quests or zones we do get will be free. So far they've announced a temporary public dungeon, but said some quest lines (which may or may not be temporary) will be coming later this year or next year.

I don't think they've confirmed yet whether we'll continue to get new antiquities regularly or if it will only be if/when a new zone is added, but they did say they're increasing the lead times so they clearly haven't forgotten them.
