Why do they make an event quest to kill a delve boss?

Why do they do this?
You have to wait for the long respawn time, people standing there waiting, then it's Ultis/fast kills, and you may not get a hit in on the boss...then you have to wait again.
This is completely stupid.

In my case, when I enter the delve boss zone. Someone suddenly try to include me as the group member.
So, I could finish the mission. But!...If I'm not in group member, I couldn't. Because, the boss was too much weak,
so it was killed by players instantly. Just...1 second.

It's a one-time quest, so hopefully the number of players camping the spawn site and spamming their grossly-OP AOE DOTs will significantly decrease after the first day of the event.

Try a different delve if you can I will not reveal my location but I am sitting at a Delves boss for the past 4 hours and have not seen one person

have you done the quest ? they ain't talking about farm locations for boxes they are talking about an quest that picked 1 boss in an delve as quest marker that dies in 2 seconds if that there sooooo many people

They really should beef them up for this sort of thing. To make it feel like we have actually done something.

I sort of wish they would make the delve required random. At least spread players out!

They could even code portals that could send you just outside the delve you got, so they can use pretty much any base game delve.

Or just make it 'kill *A* delve boss' so that players could choose their own, which could then include any DLC delves as well.

and grow to hate them within two seconds as they get the credit for the kill and you have to wait for the next boss to show up...

Did that quest this evening on XB-NA. There were 5 other players and their companions standing around the spawn point. The designated boss for this Heart's Week quest died almost instantly - effectively just people's reaction time. I didn't even see my attack go off before she was dead; fortunately, I guess the control input registered just in time.

That is absolutely crazy...

Because 50 people camping at a boss spamming AOEs hoping to get credit for a hit never goes out of style.

Yeah, they should ramp up the number of instances in delves for these events so there are fewer players in each one to avoid this. If they aren’t going to stop doing this of course, which I assume.
