Very bad performance since yesterday on PC EU?

Someone posted something similar in the bugs section but it didn´t get much attention so I´m gonna ask here if anyone else on PC EU is having performance issues? It started out of nowhere and I constantly have 200~999+ ping and it´s literally unplayable. Everything is delayed for 2 or more seconds, npcs, sounds, animations. I asked in zone but it doesn´t seem to affect many people.
I tested out playing on NA, where I have innate 200 ping and there everything is completely fine, even running dolmens with 20+ players was smooth. I also did some troubleshooting but nothing helped. Could it be the way my internet connects to the EU servers? It´s really weird.

No problem here on either PC server from the UK, all as normal. Playing overland PvE content.

Hm ok, then I´m kind of at a loss of what to do. Especially cause NA works and EU doesn´t. Very weird. Guess I have to hope that it will fix itself at some point.

Horrific laf and non rendering on PCEU for me. My pvp group were having lots of input delay, pots not going off and complete lack of break free on our Fridat night run

Well that on the other hand sounds similar to what I´m experiencing, what a strange issue.

I had exactly the same problem before, only the other way around. I had these performance issues on NA, while EU ran smoothly. One time I accidentally logged in while my VPN was on. To my surprise, I didn't notice any ping spikes on NA. The VPN setting was a North American server. After I turned the VPN off again, the ping spikes were back. Very strange. Apparently, there was a bottleneck for my country. When the server thought I was playing in the US, everything was fine.

Last time I checked my game was also still unplayable. Maybe maintenance fixes it.

Only unusual issue I had, was my PC sounding like it was trying to launch into space when I started ESO, but I didn't have lag or awful ping (I play on PC EU).
I considered starting hardware monitor and try to figure out the issue, but I really am hopeless at that anyway, so I decided to ignore the problem, turn up the game volume, and hope my PC won't melt meanwhile.

Maintenance didn´t fix it and when I try to use a vpn I get error codes. I guess no ESO for me then. I´m playing from Germany btw.

Edit; support recommended me to swap to a new account on my PC and that actually helped, apparently. Now the game runs well again, even though I have no clue how that works.
