Can we get some normal clothes

Another thread about old style pages got me thinking about this again. Can we get some normal clothes? After a long day of adventuring my main may just wanna put on pants and a shirt and play ToT or rearrange the furniture. There are some decent enough costumes in the crown store and I have lots of those, but it'd be nice to build custom outfits without worrying about spikes and hip protectors and armored boots going up to your knees

There are some normal clothes out there. You can get them from stealing stuff. You can equip them, dye them etc. I think what we actually need is this:

Can the normal clothes that are already in the game be unlocked as outfit styles please?

Also, more options would be nice since there is no cultural variation for the "normal clothes" so far. The best we have right now are the first light armor style options.

When they announced the outfit system they said something along the lines of to start it'll just be crafting motifs but they'll look to add things like monster sets and regular clothing down the line.

I'm always massively disappointed when a new style comes out and it's just another set of armour - we have so many of those already, I always feel styles should be used mostly for regular clothes

Yes more Outfit Styles that are not armour would be awesome.

There are a few disguises that look like normal clothes (particular a Dunmer and a Redguard costume, for example, if I remember right), but the selection is rather limited.

While we're at it, I hope they'll also convert the new disguises from Solstice to costumes. Didn't happen so far.

The trouble with disguises is that you can't use them with the armory

I would absolutely love to see more normal clothes costumes as opposed to Daedric dress-in-name-only things that belong on some avant garde haute couture runway. Your standard fantasy dresses would be great to have, and it would be fun to have references to previous TES games as well.

Some things I'd buy in a heartbeat if they came up:
    • Some more 'standard medieval fantasy' gowns like Éowyn's white gown, Galadriel's mirror gown, and/or Arwen's Requiem gown, all from the Lord of the Rings trilogy

    • A more generic/non-specific-to-Altmer version of the Shimmerene gown, like Zelda's royal gown from Breath of the Wild

Really wish that they turn those disguises into costumes instead

I also mostly use disguises and stolen regular folk clothes when I am not out city questing. Would be really awesome we can dye them or use them as outfits. It is not looking too comfortable running in city with full metal armor from bank to crafting sitation 10 times a day.

A lot of the quest costumes are supposed to be availible as outfits. I also see a number of Outfits that qualify as regular clothes.

Lacking those choices, Medium and Light Armors in lower tier materials look more like clothes than armor. With the upcoming ability to hide certain pieces, that could give you the look you are, well, looking for. You can apply these outfit styles to any gear.

I have 47 different clothing pieces in my bank, having those implemented with the Outfit Style system will be a good change (and helps me free more bank space).

I keep missing that basic brown pants and white tunic outfit that I know was in one crown crate or another that a lot of villagers wear. That's perfect for the setting and I would wear that a lot more than the fancier stuff if the FOMO timing aligned and I could grab it.

It is odd that clothes did seem to drop off style and costume wise. Though there's some they just don't reuse (rip the "Nibenese" noble outfit. Clearly isn't Imperial but is an Argonain thing since it's never used in Cyrodiil).

...tshirt and leggings? If we are given tshirts then the style consistently really has flown out the window and this has become a full circus. It bad enough as it is with all the FX nonsense in the crown store.

I miss all the costumes we used to get which were made to look like more everyday wear across cultures in Tamriel. It's also mind boggling we haven't gotten a costume that looks like some of the popular clothes from TES IV, such as the classic mage robe, one of the fancy dresses, or even the dark shirt and black trousers. Still waiting on some casual clothing for my male argonian that is mainly a sarong like the female costumes, and not the horrible cone-like reed skirts.

    The problem with costumes are:
    - need to be eso+ to dye using unlocked colors
    - costumes come as a full set, you cant mix and match.
    - most are crown only (hopefully more show up in the bazaar or free teir of battlepass)
    - costumes have less customization options vs outfits.

So given my choice I would prefer more outfit styles vs costumes.

Its been a running suggestion to have those peices you can find in the wild added to outfits with little progress.

I'd also like to throw in that not one but two of my male characters wear a robe that only covers one of their pecs (their right one, specifically). It'd be nice to get a chest style that's like that instead of dying the armor part of similar styles to try and match their skin color.

Reminder that there is a place in outfit styles for clothing, though all we have right now are prisoner's clothes.

I would also really like more bootcut / straight leg trousers, like the Prisoner's.

They did a few of them in the original game (Prisoners, various Dark Elf and Orc variants) but never since. And even in reworks like Ancient Orc, they made the trousers very tight at the ankles again.

I've been wearing this disguise -- https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/cpqgwi/character_is_stuck_in_this_disguise_quest_is/ -- since about 1918 when I stumbled across it somewhere in the base game (not my character, someone in reddit got stuck in my go to outfit). It's about the only thing I feel looks vaguely normal and how I want my character to be.

Damn 1918 - so you're the one the age verifications are for, they start at bloody 1900, I always thought it was unnecessary, but you are proof they are not.
