I know warden is next and necro is further down the road, but this is the class that needs the most help. I've brainstormed some ideas that might help bringing necro up. I don't like the corpse mechanic because it makes the class a micromanagement nightmare, but adding corpse generation to boneyard and it's morphs would make the class less clunky. Adding the ability for necros to extend the duration of summons using corpses would also be nice and could play into the corpse mechanic pretty well.
Here are some ideas i have for necro changes:
-avid boneyard spawns corpes every 2-3 seconds for 10-15 seconds with the skill being a larger radius.
-passive/skill that consuming corpses extends the duration of summons
-spirit guardian only targets you for healing and is the base skill with intensive mender being a morph and a knew morph called "ghostly knight" which turns this healing summon into a knight that gives enemies a debuff.
-grave grasp morph that turns into a single target root/stun
-summoners armor increasing the duration? With beckoning armor giving major or minor maim to pulled targets
-one of the skeletal mage morphs summons 2 skeletons.
-replave the rapid rot passive, this passive does not synergize with the class kit.
-A passive to turn undead NPC enemies into an ally? Ghosts, skeleton, zombie, etc
There is so much that can be done to improve necro and over the years i have seen a lot of greats ideas in the forums. This class needs a rework instead of a refresh. I like how DK was refreshed, and i have no doubt that this team will do it's best with necro.
