I completely agree. And it's not just personalities but pretty much everything that has become gawdy and cartoonish.

One of the things that first drew me to this game was the more realistic feel, but that is being lost by all the cartoon features being added.

Cartoons are known for having fast action, loud noises, bright colors, flashes of light and a lot of movement. The more of these features that are added to the game the less realistic it feels.

If players like these things then let them use them. But don't force all of us to be a captive audience and allow us to opt out with a toggle.

I would use this personality a lot more if the idle animation wasn't so mobile and distracting. Passion Dancer does a much better job of having an idle that fits the theme, looks unique and expressive, without seeming like your character is getting a distracting workout just standing around town.

But the emotes and everything are great. The idle just needed toning down.

One thing I can say is that in regards to any cosmetic, no matter how I obtained it - earned in game, bought in the crown store, etc. - I only use it for myself, to help bring to life my vision of my character. It doesn’t matter if anyone else sees it or not. In fact, if it’s rather expensive, I sometimes feel embarrassed to use it, but I’ll usually use it anyway in those cases. Having a way to toggle the flashy things others use wouldn’t bother me at all.

While I can agree on the dancer personality being "cringe", I don't agree with a toggle to turn cosmetics/mounts off/on. It's what makes players unique. That way we aren't cookie cutter players, all looking the same. It's nice to have so many options and the option to use or don't use these cosmetics/mounts as we please. I would personally not use the toggle if it were there. If something bothers me, I just ignore it and go on about my day.

It's a lot harder for some of us with light sensitivity or sound sensitivity, or motion sickness to just ignore these things. If we even had a toggle to greatly lessen the brightness or sound or motion that would go a long way to making the environment pleasant for all of us.

Then some of these things are just visually unappealing and distracting.

I appreciate player characters running around nude. Even better if they don't use any mounts, pets or special recalls either. Why? Everything that's not visible minimizes the risk to come across garish colors and migraine-inducing flashy effects

This People don't buy something that they can't display to others: "Look how much Money I can burn!"
And the People who won't like it are their Main Targets.
But they're the People who pay the Servers.

They have a dev team working on a way to turn down players VFX.
