What do you think about the new Vestige difficulty mode rewards?

I'm an endgame PvE player and I want better rewards for Vestige mode
I have a feeling that the overland content will still be too easy in Vestige mode for many and the boards will still be full of complaints.

I'm an endgame PvE player and I don't want better rewards for Vestige mode, extra XP and gold is fine by me
It doesn't matter much to me either way. I'm almost up to CP2500, so XP doesn't matter much, and have several tens of millions in the Bank, so the gold doesn't either. I'm very much laughing at the "the community wants harder overland content" suddenly turning into "what? only gold and XP?" when they get it.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Suddenly? There's a 500 page thread pinned to the top of this forum and the only people who said they'd be happy with gold and XP were people who didn't this system in the first place. I don't know where this narrative came from, but there was no consensus that we'd all be happy with veteran overland being the exception to the general rule of more difficulty = more reward, as is the case in every single other activity in the game.

still waiting for someone to explain why veteran overland should get less rewards than veteran dungeons, trials and arenas (purple gear, chance at gold mats and jewelry). That's ignoring exclusive skins, titles and mounts.

Exactly, give them something they ask for only to then complain that they want more....it's pure entitlement.Never satisfied.
Asking for consistent rewards for veteran-level content isn't entitlement. In fact I would argue the inverse for the people arguing that challenge mode should be the exception.... because reasons.

@AlexanderDeLarge I do not want to sound rude, but I do not think you addressed the point that dungeons/trials are instances with very limited number of people on the same difficulty while proposed harder overland will mix people with different difficulties and allow piling on the bosses.

I do not particularly care about purple gear (it's plenty of it around anyway), but gold mats/jewelry is an overkill under these conditions.

Not rude at all, but is that any different than group content where you have guilds openly selling clears for veteran content to individuals literally AFKing and reaping the reward?

Important to note that this is a temporary design issue, because if we're being mindful of crossplay in the future, we're going to have 3x the platforms in a shared overland so separating by difficulty makes more and more sense.

No matter what Zenimax does it won't be difficult enough and the awards won't be enough either.

One thing is for sure no matter what it is...it's never enough

I think it's very different. First, the carries are not cheap for the buyer (millions??). Second, the seller would need a dedicated team of players that know how to clear vet content efficiently and can do it with one less player (the one that AFKs).

With the proposed overland difficulty a player would not need to pay money. All they need to do is crank up the difficulty, team up with one/two Adventurer difficulty players, and farm away the bosses. Those who do not want to team up, could just wait for adventurers to show up at the boss and just join the fight. And I do not even want to think about what will be happening during the events that require farming bosses for boxes.

Now, if they decide to separate by difficulty, that would be an entirely different kettle of fish. But that is not what we are having here. So, until such separation happens (if ever), it would be best to nip these exploitable possibilities at the bud.

I said I was fine with it and I still am. I think that gear should also drop higher color just for consistency but am not too bothered by it. And I said that too back then.

I actually can't think off of the top of my head of any users who have been inconsistent with their opinion on this thread. Different people have different opinions. The topic of rewards was not brought up very often in that thread because people were fighting for it to exist at all. I also imagine that rewards were considered a given, since all other content in this game has it.

You know, I hadn't really considered crossplay. My lack of care about others killing mobs has been because it really doesn't happen often enough to care about policing in a play session in my experience. I mostly experience it in delves because they're comparatively small. But I don't think there's any reasonable expectation that delves would not be crowded because they're small and required for daily quests. So it very much felt like who cares, it's unavoidable no matter what.

But with crossplay coming, the lack of congestion may change. Definitely something for them to consider when crossplay comes around is how they handle congestion. Because the game is largely not crowded outside of events as of now.

I think the new modes should drop some type of upgrade material. Something that can be used to make new tools based on horizontal progression.
