It says there was 1 light attack missed, and 31 misses for surprise attack. What does that mean, what's the difference? Also what does the .09 and 2.87 by light attack signify?

"weav" is the gap between Light Attack and Skill cast. "miss" is when you don't follow up a light attack again. "Time" is the interval between re-casting the same skill.

"Weaving Average" is the average of LA>Skill. "Total" is the time of no action (wasted time).

Most people want to get "Weaving Average" to as close to 0.02 as possible. "Time" should be as close to the duration of the skills' DOT or buff timer as possible. E.g. Quick Cloak lasts 30 seconds, you want Time to be between 30-31 seconds. Barbed Trap lasts 20 seconds, so you want 20-21 seconds. Usually recasting early is more detrimental to sustain, so it's better to refresh a little late, so if a skill lasts for n, Time should be n+1 second.

The 1 missed under light attack meant you light attacked twice in a row without using a skill in-between

Ahh I see now. Looks like it really just comes down to not missing light attacks and not spending extra time between attacks.
