Need a better way

It's mayhem time. So the die hard pvper's are out and about. Of course event tickets are tied to doing imperial city, battleground's or cyrodiil. PVP should be equal in terms pretty much of skill and gear. This event bring out players who don't PVP or is even geared. Usually you wont see them in PVP, but event tickets is only way to earn them. You get a team of players with like 16k hp and mix match gear, going against geared out PVP monsters, who can one shot up to 25k+ in damage.

This experience isn't fun for the pve player doing battlegrounds for event tickets. Imperial city you go to no cp zone and usually get it done. cyro is about the same. Battlegrounds is the different beast. Mainly my point is if ZOS can make it where pve people can get event tickets during mayhem without doing PVP events. It will save them he frustration of being one shot every time they spawn. PVP players won't get angry at trying to carry a team of pve players to win the game.

This would be like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. I think nobody would fuss if they have a different way to earn events rickets during mayhem without PVP being involved.

you can earn the event tickets with 0 pvp already
    • for the cyro tickets, do the town dailies in a map 100% controlled by your faction (0 pvp involved)
    • for the IC tickets, all 3 faction can do the arena district daily without even dropping down from the tower (also has 0 pvp if you arent attacking players and hang back until the npcs respawn for freeing the prisoners)

absolutely would not recommend trying to do BGs for the tickets

for everything else (such as killing bosses in IC), none of that is required for tickets, but a lot of non pvpers do use this time to earn AP or tel var when the rewards are doubled

another recommendation i would have for people trying to earn stuff is to play in no-cp environments as it feels things are a little more balanced there (though obviously if its a pve dps with no food, they are still gonna die easy)

It won’t help for this time obviously but next PvP event, I suggest stockpiling completed cyrodiil & imperial city dailies a week or so before the event starts. They’ll avoid the influx of PvP activity and in my experience, imperial city during that time has some chill cross-faction interaction among PvErs just trying to stockpile quests.

Threads like this pop up every six months around PvP events, always from PvE players who don't want to participate in PvP but still expect to earn tickets without putting in any effort. I don't mean any offense here; I can understand their frustration.

Nevertheless, these events also serve to revitalize PvP and perhaps spark an interest in PvP among inexperienced players (though I consider this unlikely, as their experience would probably be underwhelming). A way to earn tickets without PvP would be counterproductive in this context.

The hard truth is: prepare for the event and adapt your playstyle, or simply skip it altogether. Anyone who goes into PvP with 16k health shouldn't be surprised if they get instantly wiped out or become a bomb trigger at flags or doors.

PvP players need to make the same adjustments for PvE events, especially those that include Trials. Strangely enough, complaints are rarely heard here.

Ah there's the bi-yearly 'let me do a pvp event without doing pvp' post. I wish I didn't have to participate in dungeons to do the undaunted event but that's just how it works.

I'm not sure why folks think that they're entitled to pvp rewards without participating in pvp.

Do you think PvP mains are psyched about every single other event being PvE snoozefests? -_-

You don't even need to do Battlegrounds as the associated ticket is the same one you get from Cyro dailies. Join a dead campaign and do a PVE quest.

Or just skip the event. You'll be able to get all the rewards anyway.

This has always been such a non-problem.

If zos just made a functional long term MMR system you also wouldnt be quing up as a new pvp account against 12 year veteran pvpers. We have complained about the BG MMR system forever now.
