A few things on my housing wish list

Saddle toggles for mounts. Probably 9 out of 10 times it makes more sense for mounts to not have saddles, but this isn't an option.

Option to choose where visitors spawn in and/or a portal that teleports a visitor to designated node coordinates. The entryway for many homes is often not in the most desirable place for building. Setting the spawn or portal points would give builders a lot more flexibility with how they use their homes and in how they set the visitor experience.

Companion outfits. Currently companions use a default style instead of using any of the saved outfits. This is an immersion issue since the stylized companion you've adventured with doesn't seem to be the same one you can have in your home. How this would be saved might be complicated, but it would be worth the effort.

Emoting at pathing nodes. A list of options for what a special collectible should do once they reach a node would greatly add to immersive builds. This could be a short list of basic emotes or could potentially pull from the whole list of what the player has unlocked (adding immense value to collecting emotes). Being able to set pets to just be perpetually napping would be a great little bonus.

"Trusted" decorator permissions. Collaborative projects are currently a logistical nightmare, which is weird for an MMO. A sort of super decorator permission that would allow designated players to add/gift furnishings directly to a home or potentially remove furnishings would help a lot. Full placement and withdrawal permissions of unbound items could be one way to go about this (fully trusted), or a potential safeguard would be a storage box that players could gift into that could then be in the list of available furnishings to place, which then could also be the only Retrieve To option for trusted collaborators.

Just a few thoughts I wanted to get out there. :)

    agreed on all that.

Though Companions in Housing are Houseguests so we would need to be able to change all Houseguests' appearance.

If we had a custom entrance/exit node, a LOT of houses would get much more interesting.

For example, I could skip the large courtyards of some estates & start indoors - or even start in a basement or attic or cave.

Not just that, the sight-lines. "Oh, instead of entering from the same angle everyone else does, and have to negotiate against the landscape - why don't I begin at the lake in the cave at the bottom of my Sword-Singers Redoubt? Then it begins as a spelunking adventure, trying to find a way to the surface."

Or "instead of entering that Gold Coast Ayleid home from the same entrance others use, maybe I want to start inside the ruin itself - no sea, no actual ruin - so I could build my own delve or frame it as an Ayleid ruin near Bruma instead of the coast".

    Very good idea.

IDEA 1 - Higher Houseguest Counts
Some of us want to build small towns with people walking around or tending shops - they serve as a backdrop for our own guilds. The more we can fit, the more reason to buy.

    IDEA 2 - Grouped NPCs
Three NPCs playing Tales of Tribute; five dancing NPCs; 2 guards on patrol, etc. They don't all need multiple voicelines - instead of "Houseguests", perhaps you call them "Extras" (like in a film) as they fill the background.

    IDEA 3 - Houseguest Attire
It's a shot in the dark if the specific NPC you create is desired - for example, I snatch up all the Dunmer & Orcs (because I'm in an Orc guild in Morrowind) but I've never had a use for a human.

However, I've seen games in which you could establish guard uniforms. Usually some Furnishing (like an armor stand) in which you layout your idealized uniform - and all the "Guard" NPCs update to match.

Or imagine you could set 3 types of "uniforms" - "oh I'm assigning these 4 as Telvanni guards, those 3 as visiting Ashlanders, and those other 4 as Orc mercenaries in a mix Ancient Akaviri (to match the Orcs in the Fighter's Guild in Necrom). Visual cohesion!

    IDEA 4 - NPC Pokeballs
Does the team that handle Dungeons want to get some mileage? Give us the option to "capture" dungeon NPCs to decorate our own homes. I'll recruit the Oathsworn Pit & Bal Sunnar NPCs to help fill up home!

It's a sort of self-created gameplay when you let players go out and decide what it is they want. In other MMOs, it'd be hunting rare animals for unique pets - in Survival games, recruiting uncommon NPCs for your stronghold.

Instead of brainstorming each and every NPC, imagine just giving us some pokeball we can buy (Scroll of Charm Humanoid?) and off everyone goes to acquire a pacified version. If I have to kill an NPC 30 times just to take them home, I'll do it, even the common (non-Boss) ones.

IDEA 5 - NPC Standard Emotes
Just getting NPCs to sit down would be nice - easier to build a crowd lounging around a lounge!

Love housing - would love to make builds come alive too!

    Yes,
A few of these echoed on this list too – many of us agree!

    Spawn point + portals
Among the top for me personally! Railroading visitors to where you want to build is frustrating and such slot-waste. As are homes like Hall of the Lunar Champion, where you have to go through multiple load screens – most builders just cover up the "foyer" or leave it empty anyway.

    Emoting at pathing nodes
Yes AND a fix for the current issue of the neon mess that nodes cause. A simple OFF toggle to hide the visual would be a great help for both builders and visitors. (Mentioned in link above)
