What is Interrupt Immunity?

I have the Pragmatic Fatecarver IV slotted, most of the time this getting INTERRUPTED. I`ve had the Dragons, the Iron Atros and even some overland animals interrupt my beam. Is this normal or something else?ecw2qu47s0ke.png

I think the interrupt immunity only applies in that other players can’t bash your beam in PvP. It’s never worked in PvE, maybe NPCs don’t really interrupt us but instead it’s a form of stun? Not sure.

I could be wrong but I always understood that immunity to be tied to the shield, if they burn the sgield you can be interrupted.

If NPCs are interrupting you, that's because they aren't actually "interrupting" you. They are either stunning or staggering you. NPCs cannot bash players to interrupt them. "Interrupt" is a specific term that refers to a player bashing an NPC or another player during a channel or cast time effect.

The interrupt immunity on Fatecarver is for PvP. While you have the shield, a player cannot bash to interrupt you, and abilities like Crushing Shock and Venom Arrow will not interrupt you unless they break the shield. Players can still stun you however - the shield is not the same as CC immunity.
