Insincere Group Finder Entries

Is this going to keep being an issue for much longer? I appreciate people wanting to express themselves, but when half of the group finder entries on a busy evening are not actual runs, it gets a bit tiring. It used to just be guild recruitment, but now it's turned into naming and shaming or satire.

I'm sure I'll weather the storm, but it might be a good discussion to have anyway. Also, any thoughts on selling BOP weapons? I think it's fine, but I'd prefer someone offering in other people's groups and not starting one to imply the rest of the group is part of the "carry."

I reported a couple that were really adverts for carries. But I received a response that no violation was found. So stopped reporting them, obviously. Definitely results in a very poor player experience, just like the automated guild invites they allow to continue for some inexplicable reason.

I feel like there should be a rule added against using the group finder for advertising purposes. There is a problem going around right now with scams, but group finder’s not the place to be advertising it to begin with since you can’t just ASAP a carry like that.

Improve the guild finder. Make people offering carries do it through guild finder, zone chat, and discords.

You mean BRP? In the end, it’s people’s own choice whether they want to join that group. I did the same in my guild in the past. Running gear runs for certain members and others were happy to join, either because they liked the group members or because they needed something there themselves.

I don’t like the group finder the way it is now. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking, but I preferred when Craglorn was the place to be for finding trials and dungeons. The whole zone and zone chat were lively. It felt like a real MMO for me.

hustlers gonna hustle, I do wish the ignore list cap were increased to deal with all these sorts of players. "Just ignore them" but I cannot.
