anyone know what this means" Your cast of xxx was registered"

Fighting some groups in PvP I get this sequence in combat metrics:

2.978s] Your cast of Thrive in Chaos was registered.
[3.179s] Your cast of Thrive in Chaos was registered.
[3.356s] Your cast of Thrive in Chaos was registered.
[3.503s] Your cast of Thrive in Chaos was activated from queue.
[3.544s] You start to cast Thrive in Chaos (Delay: 41 ms).

Where is it registered? with the server? the actual cast doesnt start until 0.6 seconds after casting, and then it has a channel-- no wonder it is not hitting these players

Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Or is this what it shows when you cast a skill but the player (from running 200% speed ) is not actually targeted according to the server? Here is another example:

[32.589s] You hit (max speed tower ***)with Burning for 189.
[32.591s] You cast Elemental Susceptibility (Delay: 213 ms)

But that doesnt explain this one, deep fissue can be cast without a target but again all I get is "registered:

[54.347s] Your cast of Deep Fissure was registered.
[54.539s] i(some zergling) critically hits you with Shocking Contingency for 2858.
[54.554s] Your cast of Deep Fissure was registered.
[54.599s] Your cast of Deep Fissure was registered.
[54.649s] Your cast of Deep Fissure was registered.
[54.748s] You cast Deep Fissure (Delay: 99 ms).

Hmmm.

Are you using a weaving addon? The first tranche says about the skill being queued. Which would be an indication the GCD is active.

Side Note: When the GCD is active, you can cast a skill when there are 0.4s left on the GCD, before that it won't queue it, this queues the skill and if nothing else is cast it will auto-cast when the GCD ends. Also, "Instant" casts are not actually instant, they have a 400ms delay built in.

I think registered means you’ve pressed the button and yes, registered with the server. You’re subject to the global cooldown, so I suspect that the delay you’re seeing is from pressing abilities before the cooldown window, it going into queue, and then activating.

This is entirely me making an educated guess, I’m sure someone knows with more certainty but I thought it’d be good to give it a shot.

Just to add about the Ele Sus - it requires a target so it may be they were moving out of the target window or something else was blocking your line of sight.
