2026: Is there anything new for Tales of Tribute coming?

Title. I‘ve seen a lot of stuff announced now and we used to regularly get additions to former introduced systems. Last year we haven’t gotten anything for Tales of Tribute (usually we get at least a new deck per year) and the lack of information about this is a bit concerning for me as I love ToT (I know it’s a controversial and not very popular feature).

But maybe someone can answer this: is there something planned for Tales of Tribute for this year?

Same. It's one of my favorite card games, I really enjoy it, but it does start to get stale with no changes or new content/card decks.

Oh please god, no! I'm semi-joking. I get some players like ToT, I personally find it too RNG.
If they do add new stuff, keep the achievements to a minimum at least.

Yes, there is a change to a minor visual issue listed in the PTS patch notes.

Honestly though, who cares at this point? The last two patrons released were awful and introduced the worst experiences that ToT has to offer. I'd rather just learn the lesson, whether it be from those Patrons or from the new DK changes that the designers have nothing for me. Nothing good anyway. Here we are over a year without balance changes to some of the most horrendous one-sided game pieces to have been made.

So for Season 0 there is nothing and I expected nothing so early, but what about Season One / Two?

I'm not sure even more decks is the answer without other changes first. The choice of decks is already becoming overwhelming, especially for newer players, and there are only so many types of functionality one can add to new decks without decks overall becoming totally unbalanced / driving every game to deadlock or only one way to play.

So I'd like to see some changes to the game, but I think they need to come at the basic mechanical level first, eg giving each player a veto over one deck, capping the number of agents, capping the behaviour of agents (eg Almalexia agents shouldn't be able, in extremis, to remove essentially all cards from the opponent), reviewing certain patron powers that completely distort gameplay (eg sorc king, Rahjin), and so on.

On patron powers more generally I think there is a serious lack of logic in certain patron powers getting so much more powerful once they are in one player's favour -- once they have been moved into position the opponent is forced into an entirely defensive play style that is almost impossible to escape. Yes, you can still win when this happens. But it's not entertaining and completely mindless.

I too would also like to know if there is anything more planned for ToT. It’s one of the only card games/mini games that I actually like and enjoy playing but it feels like it’s been abandoned. It was sold as a major part of High Isle and what now? Leave it to die?
If the devs put some effort in to balancing and making it more worthwhile to invest time in, more people might actually take it up

I feel like what we need is some events in the Tavern--as in, for a week, new neutral cards that show up in the tavern (like a bunch of daedric cards or pirate contracts). Or perhaps a new modifier for one week a month and extra rewards.

The rewards are decent but could be better. It would maybe help if they added a random currency pouch to ranked rewards that could have a little bit of AP or Tel Var, so non-PVPers have a cozier way to earn some PvP rewards, without disincentivizing actual PvP too much.

I hope they don't abandon it, still one of my favorite things to do that I enjoy more than PvP/battlegrounds for the most part.

I should have added before: I don't think that new patrons are the best idea, as there are already a lot, and it makes the game a bit more difficult to jump into. But it could do if they rotated the patrons each month or week, to mix it up.

Can you guys give us an update on Tales of Tribute for this year? You’re doing such an amazing job, as a ToT fan myself I really just want to know if anything is planned here and if we’re getting a new deck or if this is the second year in a row where nothing happens.
