Roll the Premium Tomes (Passes) Into The Sub!

The sub is already at least $140 a year. Expecting subscribers to pay another $15-$30 per season 3-4 times a year for the rewards is absolutely unreasonable.
The $140 price point for subs was dependent on group dungeon packs being rolled in, the smaller zone DLCs being rolled in, and the previous year's Chapter. This is what provided the bulk of the value of the sub. ALL of that is now gone, and with all story content now being provided to everyone for free (which I'm not complaining about, it's a great change!) the value is not there anymore for subscribers! Rolling the Premium Tomes (passes) into the sub will give us a reason to stay subscribed! It's $15, same as the sub. People will look at that and subscribe just for the pass! Watch your subscriber count grow, ZOS. Or watch it drop like a stone once people realize the value is gone. Ball's in your court!

Everyone has always said they subscribe just for the craft bag, craft bag is the reason why you should sub, how can you live without the craftbag. They're taking that to heart. So now ESO+ really is what it shouldn't be, alleviation of made up quality of life restrictions (craft bag, transmute storage, costume recoloring, increased housing limits) and less of a content access alternative. You still have the crowns, so I guess they figure that and the stuff mentioned above is enough for most current subscribers.

From what I am understanding they already are kind of doing that.
Also sub is also tied into it because its basically adding battlepass/event currency and new other benifits coming out with no price change.
So basically you can get the premium just by paying the subscription yearly. Oh looking at it I guess there is more to it with more seasons per year of battlepass, but then it allows you to pick any such battlepass you want even ones that maybe no longer available. So basically if you subscribe for a year, you basically get to choose whatever battlepass you want to like basically use the subscription benefits to unlock.

Yes each season is 3 months long. So the "Premium Plus" credit they will give you for a 12-month sub will only apply to one of those four seasons in a year. Meaning they expect yearly subscribers to shell out an additional $90 per year for full pass access. So not only is the subscription value plummeting, but we're being asked to pay more overall. That's just a bad value proposition all around.

Oh now that is actually a *very* good point I never thought about. I have not actually looked into this so I have no clue what the current plan for it will be, so please do correct me if I miss anything. In any case, ESO+ is losing more of it's value with seasons now being just free content regardless, and with older DLCs now becoming base game as well, the amount of things you actually get with the sub is actively lowering. Giving subscribers the current premium battlepass at the time they are subbed should absolutely be included in the subscription. Sure, with this new set up ZOS is losing money since they aren't charging for chapters anymore, but with each new change and addition that subscription becomes worse value for money.

Well the thirty dollar option, is basically to buy it all out option so basically it allows you to get ahead or like skip having to do most of it that is what I think it is., not sure how the normal premium would be. But like actually that is actually i think a good deal in terms of like just skipping through it. Because its cheaper then buying one of those merchant and banker npc followers from the crownstore. So basically the thirty dollar is basically to skip it all. I'm assuming the normal premium would be 10/15ish dollars then the buy out option is 30 dollars likely to get people to just do it the normal way and to discourage outright just buying it all outright. But then I think the premium would basically have crowncrate level cosmetics that maybe could be more legendary apex and apex tier. I'm assuming the buy out option would include that a legendary apex tier and this time it looks like a costume. So basically it would be cheaper then getting that type of stuff from a crowncrate. Plus its basically an optional thing meant to support the game.

It's not skipping anything, it's just giving you more access to more cosmetics and more of the currency. If you get the 30 dollar Tome, you still have to pay for Plus, whether that's 15 a month (USD) or the 3-month or whatever sub model you use.

These are the Tome (pass) tiers.
I'm proposing that ZOS include the middle tier with ESO+. I think a lot of us will still spend the $15 every 3 months to upgrade to the top tier, so they'll still get their boost to their revenue stream. But we need more value added to the sub, and this is the most obvious way to do it.

I can't agree more. No shot am I spending another $120.00 for a battle pass on top of a reduced value ESO+. I already put a good bit of money into the game with ESO+ and Crown purchases as well as the Chapter purchases when that was a thing. If it had equaled out to something similar to the Chapter purchases then I might feel like it was worth it. But considering that going forward future content will be a wild grab bag of randomness. There's just no way I can say that either the sub or this attempt to CoD-ify an MMO is going to be worth opening my wallet. I rely heavily on the Crafting Bag for my daily play time so if that goes then I as a player do too.

We're basically in the same position we were in last year.

They are trying to figure out ways to give us MUCH less while still charging us about the same. They failed last year, so they're trying again!

....for a 12 year old game with a dated engine held back by support for 2013 console hardware.

Most gamers will tune out upon seeing the pure verbiage of their offers.

ZOS: Your focus should be removing barriers to entry and making ESO fun again instead of trying to maintain your ARPU. You've earned tons over the years thanks to our business and you're part of one of the largest corporations in the world. You can do way better than this.

Would be nice but you can dream, they want to milk as much as possible players with the less effort and less content now.

Pretty sure Mircrosoft layoff affected Zenimax so less people in the team to get more money and now BattlePass with two version in addition to ESO+.
