Hi Everyone! Thanks for tuning in to the 2026 ESO Reveal Stream. If you missed the live show, the VOD is available to be viewed here.

With the reveal stream finished, we now want to hear from you! Let us know what you think about what's in store for ESO in 2026. The things you like, dislike, or have general questions about. This is your thread to communicate your initial thoughts about the new Seasons Model, New Systems (like Tamriel Tomes and Gold Coast Bazaar), Quality of Life changes, etc. with the forum community and ESO Dev team. We will use commentary posted here as a reference point for communication between now and Season Zero/ Update 49 release.

We also have a longer survey for those interested in giving us feedback on how you feel about the stream generally and the content plan for 2026. You can fill that survey out here.

I'm wondering if I will get a refund if I have multiple characters with 8-10 Outfit slots. Doesn't sound fair I had to waste so much crowns.

All my enthusiasm and optimism went out the window the second dragonknight animation CHANGES were shown. Have we learned nothing from the templar jabs controversy? Can we STOP CHANGING EXISTING ANIMATIONS PLEASE. Either make it completely OPTIONAL like a style or dye or not at all! Stop forcefully changing animations the players have grown accustomed and attached to for years.

the Dragonknight visual refresh looks epic so i am excited for Warden too! my main class.

Perhaps I missed this, but I don't think I heard the term "medium sized PVP zone" uttered a single time by anyone on the broadcast. If I did miss it then that is my mistake, but as I'm taking this survey I've noticed that the "medium size PVP zone" is mentioned as a talking point from the broadcast multiple times.

Really not liking how ESO+ doesn't cover the battlepass premium thing. A year of ESO+ building up to ''purchase'' one of them doesn't make it better.

No new things for us to use in everyday gameplay. No new skill lines or scribing options, no new gameplay systems. So, just another year of the exact same things, but this time it'll be in fargrave in Craglorn 2.0.
Some decent qol, but I was really hoping for more.

Unsure about the monetization model, will need more details.

Other than that everything sounds amazing, the most I've looked forward to a patch in recent memory.

Getting back into ESO after a few years away. I watched the livestream, and was left a little confused. I mostly play ESO for the story and zones; are no new ones being added for 2026? Or, is there going to be a separate announcement for what to expect story/content-wise, and this one was for a general overview? I haven't played since Blackwood and so am accustomed to the big announcements with the cinematics and flair. Has ESO moved away from this?

I logged in a bit late, the drops didn't work immediately, and stopped working before the stream ended.
With the stream only lasting 50 minutes, I didn't get to claim anything.

My excitement and also my enthusiasm went away the minute they Mentioned about the battlepass.
Honestly who even thought that would be a good idea.

Even though both subscriptions as we might call them are optional (eso+ and now the battlepass)
It's probably going to do more harm than good to the game.

We are not even getting any new zones either this year a first for many many years.
Very poor indeed

Soooo, im not sure if im getting the battle pass thing correct, but basically the paid content that was included in eso plus after 12 months will now be a forced 12 month subscription to get it? Thats what it seems like it with that premium plus tier and the way eso plus works with it...

I'm not completely against "new" animation, but it needs to be a selectable option. But if it's FORCED I hate it. I have grown attached to every fluid movement my dragonknight operates with. The new whip for example looks so outlandishly bloated and extravagant, I loathe it.

I love that animations are FINALLY changing AND Overland difficulty!! Now this games may feel more like an Elder scrolls game.
Also the account wide Outfit slots are awesome.

To be honest this has probably been the best reveal in SO many years. I can't wait to try out things on the PTS

I like that they want to move away from giving players FOMO by introducing areas only for a period of time... Seems like two steps forward and two steps back...

Especially when there was no real reveal of any story content. Seemed like it's event focused, no major storylines.
I dunno... didn't feel a point to keep me hooked.

More or less yes that is correct,you need to be Subscribed to eso+ for 12 months as in complete months/days to get the free premium+ tier for a season of your choice.

This was by far the best, most-humble, most-transparent, and most-exciting stream that I have ever watched in my 12 years of actively playing ESO. A big thank you to the devs for all of your time, effort, and energy in creating this showcase and improving communication to the community.

Why "Season Zero"? If this is supposed to be "the first season", that makes it Season One by definition, and Seasons of the Worm Cult becomes Season Zero by relegation (since SotWC was advertised as a "Season" already, and not a "Chapter").

No new Zones for 2026.Only a few new events,Night Market etc.

Why was there no mention about new permanent story content? Shifting the FOMO from cosmetics to actual story content is like the worst idea I've ever heard.
